A guy I work with has a son who gets Cluster Headaches. His son is episodic. When I told the guy I work with about OUR condition, he said his sons gets them too but wasn't in cycle at the time.
I was working one day and got hit by the Beast. Waited a little too long to inject and ended up not aborting the CH. Went and hid out for an hour like always. I finally returned from hiding with the bloodshot/watering eye, head slightly tilted with mouth in a semi-open position and nose running. The guy I work with gave me a look as if I where the devil himself.
Anyway, his son just started a new cycle within the last 2 weeks or so. He said his son has had cycles for about 5-7 years and he never realized how bad they where.
He said after seeing me earlier this year, he feels so bad because all this time he would just blow his son off as it can't be that bad and tell him to take an aspirin. He figured his son was hiding in his room to smoke dope or something. He said now he fully understands what i've been telling him all along.
He immediately took his son to the doc and paid cash for Imitrex injections. I gave him the link to this site and now his son is splitting injections and aborting CH's thanks to this site. Can't get him to post though, but that's o.k., at least CH.com assisted him in some way.
As i've always said, you can talk until your blue in the face, let someone see ya get hit and the true pain is understood.

Good story Blue, it seems that's the only convincing way. Glad he got the visual, something good came from it, though a bad time for you.

Blue, the world needs more people like you. I know trex is a godsend for me. Way to go. Keep trying to get him to post. Just knowing there are other who feel the same way is comforting. Support is priceless.

Fuckin awesome! I'm always sorry to hear of yet another person who suffers with these fuckin thing, but glad his father now understands, and glad that he could get some relief. Thank you for sharing that, Blue.

Blue, sorry you had to experience it rough like that, but glad that it helped a fellow sufferer to get better support!!!!!! Life without it sucks, so thank you. Your pain indeed helped another.

Quick general question for all:
I haven't tried Imitrex, but which makes the cheaper abortive - it or O2???
