I am having the same problem with Windows Server 2003 I am testing. When I move the mouse sometimes it takes a second for the screen to refresh. I don't know it it has to do with updates because I did that first thing. When I run an app it can take 5 minutes for the screen to refresh. It is very annoying. A cold reboot has helped for now, did you try that? You may also want to see if something is running your processor full blast all the time.

It looks like I fixed the problem. I had only given the install 2 Gigs to work with, and with only 128Meg of memory right now it was trying to swap memory in and out of disk space that was way to small. I created another 2 Gig partition and moved swap to that. Next I will have to figure out how to move system restore to the new partition too. I also defraged ( I forgot about that one, it's been so long).

So Athos, make sure you have enough disk space, and clean up and defrag, and maybe your problem will be fixed.
