Full Moon?  Something in the water supply?

Wow, what the hell happened to this place?

Personal attacks from all sides, long-time members leaving, and everyone taking things WAY too personally.

Look, people, this is the internet. People on the net say things they may not necessarily say to your face. Some come for comfort, some for camaraderie, some to learn, some to support and some to insult to make themselves feel better about their own lot in life.

On the net, you can't see facial expressions, and smilies can only convey so much. Nuances in spoken language get lost in translation.

Alliances form, alliances shift.

Some people get along, others don't.

It's the net, folks. It isn't real life.

BUT, that being said, this place is for sufferers and supporters to come together. It's also a place where people meet, or set up to meet in real life. And, being adults, it's also where humor and hormones can get the best of us. Heck, we're all only human.

I think Elaine had every right to moderate her chatroom as she saw fit. I also think others had every right to make their own chatroom to talk about other things.

These things don't make people less-than or inferior, it just makes them DIFFERENT. I think Elaine stated her case pretty well. Even if I was one to visit her chatroom, and if I were one of the offenders, I would respect her decision and take that kind of chat elsewhere, as some on here did.

I don't think that's reason to lash out at each other, or put people down who happen to get along well as a "clicque." I also don't think how long someone has been involved with OUCH or with the discussion here has any bearing on their worth to the community.

Bravo to those who helped light the way here. But also, bravo to those who have only recently found this site.

We're people, folks. People with differing ways of dealing with others, different ways of speaking, different levels of emotion and different priorities in our lives.

It doesn't make any of us a bad person.

Respect and Peace are my watchwords here.

Sorry, just my two cents. You may now return to your previous character defamation.
