Sorry folks but there is the Guest Book visitor (whose first messages were deleted) who has returned in a more conciliatory tone. He says he cannot access the Message Board, but I am not going to clog up the Guest Book with debates about cannabis, nor am I going to give him or post publicly my real email address or OUCH address (which is the reason for his complaint that I won't answer his emails, I haven't received them) Sorry if this seems cruel, just posting this in case anyone else wants to step in who does not mind exchanging emails with him, as I won't. He's just a pothead looking for a reason to justify his drug habits and wants our approval. He's probably posting the same message at several pain related boards.

Yep. I agree with Bob. If he wants to smoke grass, why bother with all the convoluted reasoning? When I smoked grass (and if I choose to smoke grass) I did it because it felt good to get high. No big deal. Whatever.... Tsk.... I have a friend who lives in Kentucky who has back problems, and who is also the biggest fuckin' tea-head I've ever met. He claims that smoking dope is medicinal. Bullshit. He just likes getting stoned. Okay.... Fine... Who fuckin' cares? But don't try to bullshit people that it's for medicinal purposes. -Frank

good call Wendy, I will also refrain from the temptation of letting him have it in the guestbook. edit BTW, if he sends you an email just tell him you are sorry he can't get to the message board but the guestbook is not the appropriate place for discussions.

As Office Friendly from the state police used to tell us when we were children. "Only dopes smoke dope." I would have to say that this is not the place for something like that.

Officer Friendly was wrong. Pot is a legitimate treatment for a number of conditions and disorders. CH isn't one of them though. Ignore guest book guy.

ROFL, Pam!! I once made the mistake of smoking by myself, right before bedtime. I couldn't get my head to shut up. My mind was going at Mach II, and I was lying there with the pillow pulled over my head, yelling silently, "SHUT UP!! SHUT UP!! SHUT UP!!" LOL! If/when I ever smoke again, it will be with a bunch of other people. Smoking by myself just gets too weird. "Where do you live?" she asked. "In my head, mostly," I replied. -Frankster

Someone recently provided me with the following list of medical uses of marijuana. I had lots I wanted to comment on, but the only one I could really speak about without looking into it was Cystic Fibrosis. Marijuana for cystic fibrosis?? Why in hell? Someone has to still explain the rationale for how that helps. I researched it and didn't find any evidence on my own! I'd like to think that if marijuana helped CF, then my cousins would be a lot loopier!!! I only ever smoked it once - made me feel very paranoid and when i eventually got to sleep i had a nightmare about needles (my phobia)! Havnt touched the stuff since - marc smokes it, but to get any effect he has to abuse it. Ive told him it properly isnt helping the CH and he is trying to quit as we speak!

| I had quite a bit of experience with weed when I was younger. I have never met anyone that got violent after smoking pot. Always seems to mellow people out. Alcohol, that's a different story. Maybe they should ban alcohol and legalize pot, huh? Gator Member of the coalition to put coke back in coke!

| OMG that's hilarious. You don't have one of those DARE license plates do you?? ROFL I used to be a member of a club called IMPACT in my high school. We went around to elementary schools to educate kids about drugs and alcohol. I never even drank alcohol until I was at a sophomore in college! Although, I truly hope I never said, "only dopes smoke dope" and gave some poor 4th grader CH!! ROFL DARE to keep kids off drugs. Lizzie

When i was a child and in school back in the 60s every year the state police would send a trooper to the school and do a program on drugs. The trooper was always named Officer Friendly. Every year we had different Professionals do a various programs at the school. THe dentist always had us brush our teeth and then give us a pill that would turn your teeth red where you did not brush them right. We even did the stop . drop and cover in case of nuke going off. now we find out that didn't do shit. We would have been killed anyway. just a few things i remember from the 60s.

Yeah Farmboy, I remember that. Later on in high school we were shown slides of lungs from lifetime smokers to keep us from smoking and gruesome pictures of car wrecks and the injuries sustained by the drivers and passengers to keep us from drinking and driving. It was cool watching some of the teachers get queezy at some of the pictures. Gator

Actually that isn't too far off!!! I went to school in the 80s and 90s, and I still learned the "duck and cover" technique in my little bitty elementary school out in St. Louis, and I also used the little red pill that the dentist gave me to show how I wasn't brushing my teeth right! Take them time to learn sometimes!
