What's on your desk? (non-CH & photos)

Quote Quote Modify Modify

I was just sitting here, staring at my work station (obviously getting no work done) and began to wonder what the world of other Clusterheads looks like when they are at the computer... If ya got any pics, share 'em; if ya don't got pics, describe your desk...

My work station (Yeah for 21" monitors!):

My Zire and Zen (AKA the 411 & Party Pack):

Beind my computer is my Bluetooth dongle (Damn, that is a GREAT word...) which keeps me connected to the outside world:

And always within in reach:

19" monitor with a photo of Mojave Desert, my disgustingly black and unwashed coffee cup, piles of papers, photos of the Mojave, a model of a Jeep Rubicon, with hood, doors, and tailgate that open, and real suspension, a pewter dragon with wings spread, a photo of my daughter, and on the wall, my honorable discharge certificate, my Expert Field Medical Badge certificate, and my certificate for qualification and membership in MENSA. Piles of books, papers, and precision ground stainless heat-treated components for nozzles that are used in injection molding of thermoplastics, and the newsletter from the Electrostatics Society of America. Well, it's a pathetic excuse for a work area, but until I get my new executive desk, this is where I am at (located in a corner of our family room).  I have on my desk, my laptop, my printer/copier/scanner/fax (which I use as another table, LOL), my external HD, gum, digital camera, kleenex, sunflower seeds, peanuts, mt. dew, ink cartridges, my OUCH folder, toothpicks, watch, voice recorder, phone, and on my puter screen is a book I'm writing.

Well...I'm a student...so this is my computer setup while in my apartment! LOL

Here is where my computer sits most of the time...yeah that is my bed/futon.  No...that is not my "work space"!!  No comments from the peanut gallery! (That means YOU Frank and Jimi!) Wink

This is the top of my desk...usually used as storage!

This is the view out my bedroom window...my desk sits right under this window.  It's actually a view of South Philly...you can't see it very well in the picture, but those are the sports stadiums out there!!

E-Double... Close, oh so close.

I am not of Finnish decent; I'm actually of Spanish and Austrian decent.  But you were on the right track... This young lady...

...is Finnish - not just of Finnish decent, but actually from Finland. And I was lucky enough to catch her eye.

"Hirvi" is, of course, Finnish for "moose".  "Maki" is "hill".  And the name of my graphics company is Hirvimaki (Moosehill) Graphic Design.  I just adore moose and when we lived in Finland we lived off of Hirvimaki road. When we moved back here I took up the name for my design business.

She is not currently on my desk - so I beg forgiveness in including her picture on this thread - but I can have her pose on my desk if you'd like...
