No good luck goes unpunished

On Tues last I was released by my Orthopedic dr to return to work with limitations, and on Thurs. my boss said that if I could not return at 100% he could not use me. In reality I don't blame him, and the injury was from an auto accident, not work related, so there is no comeback there. Anybody know of anything that doesn't require bending, sitting, standing or thinking? jc

You could always be a practice dummy at Earl's Labotomy Surgical Clinic and Garage. Sorry, can't think of anything. Gator

| Hey Carl, I think being a gigilo might indeed require all of the above mentioned otherwise you are just a shrink Sorry JC, Don't know whatcha do for a living, however, if you contact a vocational counsellor they may be able to guide you. My best friend is in this field and essentially finds jobs for people who have been injured or helps companies modify working conditions to better suit their injured or recovering employees. good luck, Eric

HI jc, read your post and had to write. My wife has had her spine fused and couldn't do her job anymore. No lifting or bending either. She ended going to a program (in Indiana it's called Job Works) that pays for retraining and education. There are many programs out there that can help you. However, like with any bueracracy, you gotta go through the system to get any benefits. Hope that helps. John
