Sleep No More
Once again I'm in my bed
The long day now is o'er
I lay my head down and close my eyes
But sleep will come no more
I lay there still and quiet
I try so hard to sleep
But the sandman doesn't hear my call
His gift from me he'll keep.
I watch the clock, time ticking by
Each tick a mournful sound
Fear of he who stalks my sleep
To whom my soul is bound
He makes no noise when he comes to call
He needs no window or door
Slinks silently through the house
No sound upon my floor
But I feel his presence anyways
Pain builds within my head
Another battle with my nemesis
I wish that I were dead
The real pain hits now I cry out
And hold my wounded eye
The fire burns there deep and strong
I can no longer lie
I sit up straight and press my eye
So hard I swear it may pop
I rock and sway and scream and cry
Oh God please make it stop
An hour slowly passes by
And then an hour more
The faceless stranger leaves me now
Exhausted on the floor
Once again I'm in my bed
This last attack is o'er
I lay my head down and close my eyes
But sleep will come no more

Thanks all. I got slammed again this morning as I was getting the wife and kids off for the day. Even after it was done I heavy shadowed for a couple hours. When it was all over I was compelled to write. I thought I'd share my inspiration with you.

god help ya.I just started my cycle only a hundred and seventy eight to go.Unless i sleep and then it goes up.Mine are every four hours for an hour for thirty days once or twice a year.
