Sometimes get chills (minor) and sometimes hot flashes (feel like I am going to burst into flames). The chemical CGRP that is a key to our pain causes blood vessels to open and a sensation of heat on the nerves. Some of the other chemicals that are out of balance (endothelin, adrenaline) cause the blood vessels to constrict and might cause chills. Also, I think that when the hypothalamus gets really whacked, it can temporarily mess up its signalling to the thyroid. Add some disturbed serotonin, stir well, and you have a good recipe for temperature swings.

I get hot while being attacked. Many, me inclusive, end up buck nekked during a hit. Usually too drowsy to notice if I'm cold after an attack...
Look to left and hit the Oxygen Info button. Many use it with great sucess.

I always cooled off a bit as my blood pressure would decline after the attacks which always ended quickly when they did. Cold? Nope.
I never used O2.

The only thing that happens to me after an attack is that I come to the realization that I need to get more plaster for the drywall I've punched my head into.
Oxygen works, I would say....for the majority of us.
Do what Tom said and read the link to the left on oxygen info.

Alternate here. Cold chills to red hot and sweating.
Try o2. It works for most. Also, you need a good neuro who knows clusters and treatment.
