Thanks and updates

Thanks to all of you for the Birthday Wishes.... Dave and I celebrated together last night jointly- my bd and his release from the major part of the "yucky diet". He got to eat cheese, bacon and sugar last night! He has to stay completely away from gluten for awhile, but the doctor felt the yeast-free diet wasn't doing any good at all, so why put him through it any longer. So although Dave was happy with the dietary changes, it does mean that things aren't improving for him. They put him through another battery of tests yesterday. The doctor is slowly weeding his way through all the confused medical record (which he says is so disordered and mixed up he is having a &^%#%() of a time figuring out what was done, and what was missed and what should have been done that wasn't. ) He is trying to make sure that no stone is left unturned in trying to figure out what is wrong. Meanwhile, Dave continues to lose weight, muscle and strength. His hair feels like straw and the skin on his neck looks like that of a 90 year old man (no offense to anyone that age around here) He is unable to walk upright without extreme pain, and when he sits for ANY length of time, the muscles/tendons in his legs cramp up and he actually has to push on his knee to straighten out his leg when he goes to get up. He keeps on truckin though, and although I think at times he gets pretty depressed over all this, he continues to fight through the pain and fatique with more determination than I have ever encountered. Every now and then I have to give him the proverbial swift kick in the patootie to get him riled up again, but once I do that, he is good for another few miles . I've definitely decided that instead of trading him in on a new model, I will stick with the warranty service and tune-ups. ( In case you read this, hon, I love you ) So, hang in there with us... I'm going to go and have a hot bath with my birthday gift of stress relief bath products and put aside my worries for a few minutes. Love all of you, and thanks for the support and encouragement. Annette

Thanks Annette. I'm lighting another candle tonight, and saying another prayer - though God and I aren't on the best of terms. Sending vibes and energies, and hoping for the doctors to gain the wisdom to resolve this matter soon and get Dave up and running again. Blessings, Carl

Hope ya had a nice stress relieveing bubble bath and hope Dave gets over all this soon and gets back to normal. Seems there's so many things like this the docs never figure out and the person gets better and over it by themselves in time......strange tho cuz ya'd like to know what the heck jus happen'd !!!!! Better days vibes Pam
