E, I soo feel for you. It is a difficult transition when the child becomes the parent and the parent becomes the child we need to care for. If it were possible to care for my mother in my home I would be, however it simply isn't possible. I won't go into it, but this is what my mother has suffered from for 3 years now.

I have durable POA shared with my brother. My father has been gone for 24 years now, so I can only imagine careing for two parents.

Oh Thank you we do appreciate it. My Mom has been though every test they can put her thought the last two weeks and also taking care of my Dad. Yesterday they started my dad on oxygen. Today he is in the hospital with his heart. He went to the doctor and they put him right in. Mom well they are suposs to operate on her Monday. Its not going to be a simple tack up of the blater they will cut her from her belly button down the blatter is so big they are going to have to do that and strighten it , it has a crook in it they say. On top of it wll its two hospitals dad will be in one Mm in anothers about 50 miles apart. Needless to say this next week will be hard on everyone. It is very emotional for my family and I. I am so tight inside tonight all I am doing is trying to keep busy with anything except thinking about it all.
The Lord will do whats best I know. Thank you Mark Jonny and Carol and the rest of you. Its good to have friends at a time like this.

My prayers and thoughts are with you and your family Elaine. We put my wife's mother (whom lived with us) in the hospital yesterday. She's got congestive heart failure, diabetes, incontinence and Alzheimer's. She'll probably go from there to a nursing home (again). It's probably a blessing in disguise especially for my wife. Being her caretaker is tougher than any job I've ever known.

Just spoke with Elaine........
Her Mom's surgery was this morning...Mom did just fine.
Her Dad was released from the hospital and he's Ok for now too.
Elaine sounds tired but she's Ok too and very relieved.
