Well folks stick a fork in me Im done. I have done some soul searching and found that I can NOT and WILL not belong to OUCH US any longer. I have asked DJ to pull all my info from the OUCH sight. Been with OUCH since 01 and seen FAR too much and 99.9% is not to my liking.
I want more then what OUCH can or will ever give. I have no problem with "hurry up and wait" hell Im an X military brat and wife so Im used to that. But alot of it is BS and I dont feel it will ever change for the better. Cat, Roxy, Randy, DonnaH, Don and so many others have pulled out of the BoD and other possions that it makes my head spin! It sucks! And WHY? YES I did the petition to remove Renee. OUCH doesnt need someone with a "god complex" in office. I wasnt alone in my feeling on that one!
I hate to say this but Im going to any way and I know Ill pay for it later by many. OUCH UK has done more in 4 yrs then OUCH US will EVER do. They have PAID staff members, a HARD COPY new letter that gets mail out EVER quater! I have a copy in my hand now! There is NO fighting, back stabbing, or any of that BS. Ive heard 'we are growing and having growing pains" hearing this from MANY BoD members over the yrs., well I hate to be the bearer of bad news but that is BS also. I saw the lay out of OUCH UK at the Alanta convention in 01 and the plans that Mo (Maureen) and John had brought over from the UK to get us going in the right direction. Anyone who was at that convention saw this too. WTF happened? Cuz we are NOT even on the same page as they are right now! Hell we are stuck in the stone ages and OUCH UK is in the 21st centery! I dont get it! I could add to this but I think Ive said nuff. Cuz the longer I type the madder I get.
Ive got my blast sheilds up and ready for the firing squad so ready AIM and FIRE away.

As so many said in a thread about 4 weeks ago, OUCH US, OUCH UK, OUCH Italia, whats the difference. Help which ever one you want and you help clusterheads.
For me, I've had membership in all 3, that way I can claim affiliation with whichever one is doing the best at the moment.

I'm not going to flame you either! I totally agree, but I would be seen as being biased. I'm incredibly proud to be associated with OUCH UK as I think we have made huge strides with dedicated Trustees and Officers and a comparatively small membership and resources. On the other hand I find reading OUCh US site Member's Board (or whatever it is called) totally embarassing and although I am a member, can't see what it achieves.

I hear some of what you're saying, Leesa.
I've had some of the same thoughts from time to time. Then something good/positive happens and I say OK let's keep on pluggin'... Maybe we'll get it figured out one of these days. I'm just a hardheaded ole broad...
Just one more thing.....you and Dave have been an asset. You all did a wonderful job on the convention...

No. The member list is a manual operation. I've always had to download the member list from the server, change it to an excel spreadsheet and then paste it into the web page. Removal of a name is also manual.
Given the size of the membership roster it's getting pretty unruley and they probably ought to get rid of the list of member's names. Just keep the Officers and Medical Professional's.
I'll suggest this at the OUCH board.

1. Do we let it die
2. Let it continue on the current path
3. Make the decisions needed to grow and move.
I have a preception that "We" are too concerned on making a bad decision that there ends up being no decisions made.
I hope that there are changes and decisions going to be made here soon.
Am I too far off on this one?
