God knows how, but I came across this just now: http://www.cc.utah.edu/~rfs4/jkm21.htm Need to wind down to para 21.13 Anyone want to try it? Sounds too complicated for me, and would probably involve two fridges... The magnesium and water bits ring a bell though. Shalom Shimon ed. for spelling mistake - ow!

| Oh, you've heard of my water (the Floridian Aquifer, water source for millions of people)? I do take magnesium on a regular basis, and choline on an occasional basis. Have posted on both of these. But I am not a follower of Kosher / Kaballah practices. Straight science for me, thanks, and to each their own.

Tomatoes may prevent headaches, but the cooking of them generates lots of MSG, a sure fire trigger for me, so I avoid them by all means. Speak of a Devil or Beelzebub situation. But one thing I do certainly wrong, I fry the meet with butter, a dairy product. Hence the cluster headaches. Ueli

Okay,Goy Boy Gator , here you go....... I'm Jewish and I get clusters. I am not Kosher, but usually don't mix milk and meat out of passed down habit.. .....my mother was brought up in my kosher great grandmother's house. And lately I've gone vegetarian because the smell of meat grosses me out. Of course that makes no difference either. And then there's this: my Rabbi is Orthodox(i'm not) and has been kosher his whole life, no headaches that I know of, but recently he got very ill and had to take a good look at his diet and he said to me that Kosher diets can be notoriously unhealthy and fattening. So, like anything else there could be a down side too if you're not careful. BTW, I am going to bring this topic with him to see what he has to say.......it is very interesting. The other thing about cetified Kosher food is that it is held to a higher standard of quality, like kosher meat, from picking to processing to the cleanliness of the factory, so you are getting a better product overall at your table, even if you don't keep Kosher. FYI, Shameless plug: We make Kosher Maple Syrup Hope that helps. -Lionsound

| That would be me altelast to an extent. Not of the strictest of nature, just no meat& dairy together, no shelfish, No pork products. But I do eat of others plates and eat out at Non Kosher retaurants. Guess what??? I still get hit!!!!! & if I thought that me keeping strictly Kosher would help ya better believe it. I would do it. Go figure, Eric

| My fellow Hebe , Funny... Not that they are notoriously unhealthy or fattening it is just how possibly he of Eastern European disent cooks or is cooked for. Then even non Kosher meals are Fattening. All depends how ya cook and what part of the worls your recipes come from. That was cute though "shameless plug" Eric

"Out of curiosity, how much of the sugar in maple syrup is fructose, and how much is other sugars??"--Floridian(I don't know how to do that quote thing yet) The syrup that we make is 100% pure maple syrup. So it' s ONLY all natural maple sugar. We tap the trees and boil the sap forever. And get sypup. If we boiled forever and a day then we'd eventually get the sugar itself, in colonial times it was used as a sweetner. That crap they claim is syrup in the stores has corn syrup, fructose and who knows what else in it...maybe some actual maple if your lucky. I think that they call it maple syrup beccause the truck driver waves to a few maple trees on the way to the store. Sorry about the tangent, but it IS kosher. Floridian , did I answer your question well? -Lionsound -

I'm fructose intolerant, and have had to give up honey - it is 40% fructose naturally. Ok, I found a web page that says that maple syrup is 88% to 98% sucrose - I can handle that, cool. Fructose + Glucose can be up to 11%, but when they occur together (probably from a breakdown of sucrose) it is not a problem. http://ohioline.osu.edu/b856/b856_149.html You should keep with the self-promotion and put up a link to where we can buy some syrup.
