Everyone around me has noticed a big change in me since I came back from Nashville, and I even noticed it myself after a few days. Couldn't put my finger on it until yesterday at my brothers house. For years I have had a Reactive attitude and responded to things as they happened. Now I have become Proactive and am preparing for things before they happen! Even seems I lost something in Nashville too, and it was almost as good as losing my virginity: MY WRITER'S BLOCK IS GONE!!! If all goes well, "Beyond the Shadow", my novel on a clusterhead will also be at the convention next year. I am both excited and pumped. Oh yeah, and in lots of fucking pain but gritting and bearing it until I get to the neuro. Did anything happen to YOU at convention? The Chronic, CD

These conventions have taught me how to trust people before I get to know them...........and that Carl isn't the short little skinny shakey dude I pictured !! He's actually a really cool guy. Thanks for the memories Pam

What happened to me is that I went from being no-one to find out that I can be myself, that I am some-one and I count. That I can let ppl in without them turning there back on me when I am in pain, they don't roll there eyes and shake there head at me and say again. Most importantly I found my family, the place where I belong. Thank you, I love you all Bec

Carl~~~I cant talk about NashCon but I can talk about how I felt after NY last year........... I felt like I belonged to a Secret Society. A society that I could turn to when the dreaded family secret illness reared its ugly head. A special group of people that come from all walks of life and income brackets, but share the same common dream. The dream, to be rid of this curse that has brought us all together. Think of it Carl. This horror has brought us all together proving that goodness can come from evil. Love can grow from something hated so deeply. ...and the characters I met last year. We had a much smaller group than you guys had this year but isn't Cootie the cutest, sweetest woman you have ever met. Linda H... she is just adorable too. She taught Dave how to use O2. Mast is a riot, and my buddy... Elaine like a big sister. Cat has a great family, and is so smart. Happy is happy... Eyes is a very talented, spirited guy. Charlie is charming and very tall... so is Joe P.. another postal worker. Vig was very quiet but became a good friend after the convention. Roxy has a sweet Texas charm all her own... and suffers terribly. Suzy was really tall and had gorgeous red hair... too many more people to mention DJ, jonny etc. need I say more......... Meeting all of them put faces to names, feelings to words. Just a great all around feeling.......... I'm happy about the newly shed writers block ......... Write, write and write some more Carl D... share your gift... Love ree

You aren't so bad yourself Ree. We all love you too. Being around all you old and new people is good for me. It's my second time and I felt right at home and had about 600 beers to celebrate. Once again, getting away helps whatever social anxiety I may have. Airports are good for that. I love to fly and all that goes with it. Strange I know. It was 10 years since I flew. Not gonna let that happen again. Nashville was good for me too. Charlie

I wish I could put words to what Nashcon meant to me... Meeting all of you was one of the most remarkable experiences of my life. Clusterheads are probably the most amazing, gifted, strangest, intelligent, creative, and good-looking group of people I've ever met in my life. Love ya's. Frank [O||||||O] JEEP

Nashcon was the first time I drank beer in a LONG time. Now I remember ~ I can't handle very much beer !! LOL Unsolved The #1 thing that happened to me in Nashville was actually meeting 'others' like me. Never met another clusterhead in all my 16 CH years !! I wasn't even sure you guys existed. I could've been posting to BOTS !! j/k lol I also went 22 minutes on camera with Justin. I hope his documentary turns out good (which i'm sure it will). * My first time on 'the big screen' * LMAO

Ditto. First time I ever met another clusterhead... Amazing how instant the "connection" is... Carl_D gave a really good analogy: He said it's like a war veteran telling people what war is like, and people sort of nodding and trying to understand. Then that same war veteran meets up with another vet, and there's no need to explain anything at all. Yeah... That's exactly what it's like.

I have a new calmness, that I attribute to the meeting-old-war-veterans analogy (thanks Carl_D). Really cool. On the downside I met DJ's mom, fell in love with her, and then DJ wouldn't let me take her home with me. It was a super experience!!

The worst part of it all was having to leave and say goodbye... when there was still so many people I hadn't got to talk to much... But those of you who I did talk with... the bond, WOW! After meeting you guys, I'll never be the same. CD

For me it was the chance to rebond with the family I met in HOT lanta. I met some family that I had never seen before but had spoken with for several years. I met family that I will NEVER forget. Had alot of laughs and even more tears when I had to say good bye. I didnt cry till I got home. Some haved asked me would you do it again...........YOU BETTER BELIEVE IT BABY!!! In a heartbeat!! I found folks that excepted me for ME good, bad or indifferent. This IS my family. A family that no matter how bad we fight amongst our selves......we are STILL family. Leesa PS: ((((((Becky)))))) love ya gal!!!!!

Carl, I am so very glad to hear that you took something strong for that writers blockage..lol I remember asking you in Nashville how your writing was going, and this sad look came over your face. Glad to hear that "Nashville" might have had something to do with it. I'd like to say something else here Carl. I hate hate hate... Heavy metal music. But I brought your CD's home with me and put them in my car stereo. So now I'm blown away away by the professional sound eminating from my dashboard..at a stop-light with windows rolled down in my 67 pink Mercury with your CD blasting right? Dude in the next car over at the same stop-light looks at me and gives me the thumbs up and a high-five sign. I don't think he ever had so much respect for someone over 30. lmao!!!!! Carl, you are really very talented and even though I still cannot stand heavy metal, I CAN appreciate how good you and your band are. Kudo's to you my friend. Linda

NashCon 04 was good, Bad, and Indiffrent for me. I met 3 women that I have a tone of respect and love for. Linda, Jackie, and E. It filled my heart to meet so many others and get to know you. The bad was that I learnt just how bad I feel in large groups of people so I tried to hide as often as possible or hang around in the little groups. It was also the beginning of a so called normal cycle.(yea I know, what is normal) The indiffrent was a good time, I have been to meet and greets and now a convention and personaly I like the meet and greets better. To everyone at convention you found a way to add to my life just a little something more and I will be forever greatful for that. Yes I can say my life has changed. I came out of it with the woman I Love carring my name, I saw my very first cluster attack and saw first hand what Leesa goes through with each of mine. I MET FAMILY!!! Dave

| Yeah,,, ha ha ha Linda....oh oh oh, I am slapping my thigh at the humour you managed just now...hee heee.. Next time we want to hire a comedian for a convention, just remember Linda Howell's name everybody, she's gonna be real big. Well I had an amazing time, through the haze of sleep depravation. I slept in a bathtub. almost murdered Donna got hugged so much me jubblies nearly popped. forgot Cat's name got my arse squeezed (Chuck is Guilty) was a maid of honour. kissed John (Giovanni) on the mouth in front of his wife. got to hug Kevin. got to ride on the back of a short bus. got to check BarbD's knickers A LOT I got to meet old friends again and meet my new friends. I drove by the hotel 2 days ago and my heart ached big time. I miss you all so much. You are all such wonderful special people!!!!!!!!!

I wrote it once and It's all I can can put into words.... I, for one, will never be the same, after meeting the only people who truely understand, don't think I'm a freak, and when I'm laying my my head over the back of my office chair with heavy shadows and say my head doesn't feel too good, know what the f-uck I'm talking about, and still doing my job at the same time knowing what balls it takes over those who call in sick with a freaking hangover or a toothache. (sorry I work with a huge pack of whiners) Sorry had a bad day...don't mean to take it out on the family....I love you guys!!!!!!
