Going into day 4, and can't even attempt sleep right now. Groggy yet wide awake, it that makes sense. I'm just plugging away at stuff here working...and have to babysit my lil buddy Elijah in 5 hours. I haven't been 'hit' since Wednesday night (YAY!!!!) but know when I finally do crash, I'm getting a big 10! Won't attempt until tomorrow evening after doing stuff at my bros, getting back here with his kit and working on my low-fi putter-putter 'puter. After that, I am calling it a 4night. LOL Both of my brothers are programmers, designers and builders of puters. My father was known to be somewhat of a genius. I made the decision today to pursue my education in computer science, web design and maintenance, and join in with the family ranks. Also, after a great chat with JeepFrank last night, I was talking with my sis in law, Becky - who is pretty much my main supporter. I showed her the NashCon pics, and you can ask her - I haven't shut up about my extended family since I got back here. I suggested she learn the board here and if she wants, participate. In the event I become incapacitated for any reason, I ask her to post here on my behalf so no one freaks if I 'disappear' for some reason. Not to mention, Gator and Linda both have her number. Later this year I will be looking to invest in a possibly refurbished laptop, or cut-rate one for work related purposes. If anyone knows of anyplace online to find a good laptop, let me know. Gonna ask my bro about that as well tomorrow too. I'm rambling. Caught my 5th wind I think. Hap-slappy Carl D

(from one of those articles) Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome may be dismissed as lack of sleep. The two conditions, however, are poorly understood diseases that cause sleep disturbances... ...Fibromyalgia causes sleeping disturbances, chronic pain and exhaustion. The weather has greatly fluctuated the last few days, and my legs ache and throb, and last night my right leg got worse again. Before reading that article you provided, I told my sis in law last night I was wondering if the leg pain is what has made me restless. Don't worry, I'll be okay (knocking on wooden head - OUCH - won't do THAT again) As far as sleep deprivation, my record is 143 hours straight. I'm used to it. When I get back home today and get some work finished with my bro, I'll take my Amitriptyline again and attempt sleep once more. The last 3 nights I tossed and turned and could not even fall asleep WITH the Amitript... If that doesn't work, will head back to Walgreens and get the Remeron refilled. I just hope that when I do finally lie down with my Trex at my bedside waiting for the beast, I can actually FALL into sleep. If I do, after I wake up with a hit, should drift back off. Wish me luck. I'm okay. I'm totally alert and aware. Gotta go take a leak in the fridge and get a drink from the bathroom. Peace, CD

Had RLS since my youth, but never knew it had a name until a couple of years ago. On a few rare occasions I have had symptomatic response in my arms as well (didn't remember if we discussed that at NashCon or not.) Something odd, I have noticed a couple of times (like wednesday night) if it is possible to spread to the neck. As I'm sure you know how you will roll your legs or they will kinda jerk, couldn't stop rolling my head on the pillow for a bit. That was when I was forced to get back out of bed. Like me and Gator talked the other day, you'd think we'd have enough to deal with just having CH alone without having to bear more afflictions, but many of us here do. I don't think it is wrong to discuss these things here on CH.com, as some have suggested in the past. After all, this is the general posts section, and these are real dilemmas we are dealing with along with CH. Who knows - it might provide useful info to someone else suffering from something unknown to them and they might learn about it here as well. Shit, I'm rambling again. Shower time! CD

Hey Carl, After your shower, doya think it mite work if ya set up a "place" = comfortable chair so you can sit up - maybe put some pillows behind you and put the television on with the sound off,........(hard to explain this). It's like semi-relaxing, just enough but not where you wind down and set up for a hit?......Keep frozen peas handy... Thinking of you and hoping things get better. well wishes, kim

At my bros still. My sis in law stayed home today, due to events that unfolded after I left here last night. She sent me off to try and get some sleep and I got more of the same... tossed, turned, kicked, rocked my legs, etc. Taking care of a few things, leaving here at 6:30 to meet a friend back at my pad, then giving it HELL to try and fricken crash. Trust me. I WANT sleep. But my body is not allowing it. I told my sis in law if I am still awake at this time tomorrow - going to the ER and telling them to GIVE ME SOMETHING TO KNOCK MY ASS OUT! Gotta run, CD
