I really really do! I love the way they make me sweat and itch. I love the difficulty in urinating and severe constipation that even prune juice won't dissolve. I love the way I nod off in the middle of something important. I love how inneffective they become in time, requiring stronger doses with even MORE side effects... on second thought... I FUCKING HATE MY MEDS!!! Sorry, just ranting from frustration. I'm taking my slap-happy ass back to bed to TRY - oh so desperately TRY for just one hours sweet slumber...before the demon comes... Peace, Carl D P.S. - I'd give my right nut to never have to swallow another fucking pill again or give myself another shot!

Carl, It sounds like you may be on too high of a dose. You got to find a happy medium between side effects & pain control. I know you'd like them to completely disolve the pain..but they don't work that way. Call your Doc & let him know that you're experiencing these symptoms. They can even try a different pain reliever...they're not all the same & don't have the same side effects. Jimmy

I know what you're going thru. Been there. Done that. Went to the concert. Bought the tee-shirt. For the severe constipation I use Docusate Sodium 100 mg 2 pills at bedtime. Its a stool softener. If after a few days you don't have a BM (if ya know what I mean) then take Senna Lax (aka sennosides) 8.6 mg 2 pills at bedtime with lots of water (yes, I know you'll be trying to pee all night long.) There is also herbal Senna tea that you can buy. I have come to find that Extra Strength ExLax is way tooo strong and way too unpredictable (like really bad "accidents" happened.) Well, that's my advice. Been there, Done that, Samantha

I Love how pain pills have a shitload (no pun intended) of side effects for minimal relief. I think that the beast is also the CEO of all major pharmaceutical companies and this is his fault!! Turts

I suppose that by now EVERYONE and their uncle knows how I feel regarding Narcotics especially in the area of taking them for CH. Thanks for including yet another reason for not taking them, Carl. Linda

| Absofuckinlutely Linda! Back when they gave me Stadol NS for CH, I tried it twice. All it did was dope me up to the point of drooling - but the pain shot right through. Didn't touch the beast. They have me on Tramadol for the constant ache in the back of my head, Fibro and unruly TMJ that actually needs surgery, but not as far as medifraud...er, I mean medicaid is concerned. Oy! How you doin'? Carl D

Sorry you have to post this kind of stuff everybody. And to think that about 100 years ago or a little more, you could buy this stuff over the counter and it was advertised all over Penny Dreadful magazines...even newspapers. Makes you wonder just how much this had to do with behavior. No matter what you hear from politicians, it was a much more violent time....just no TV. Newspapers have a way of filtering bad news. Keep up the fight Carl. Charlie

I need a new pain pill ! So far, the narcotics are all junk for my CH attacks !! I'd rather have an Imitrex injection than a steady Morphine (IV) drip !! Thank god for Imitrex ! Unsolved I just recently had an ER doc ( a newbie) try to give me a script for Loritab 10's. I laughed @ him and said " You can keep those ! ... Narcotics are useless on me !" ... LOL

I've never found a pain pill or tranquilizer that did anything for me other than make me stupid. Being in pain and stupid at the same time is a bad formula indeed. Best wishes, John

Those were the days, my neuro was giving me Tylox, percodon and dilaudids (sp?) completely zombified, melted into a puddle on my couch. Thank God for Trex. But in my CH state of mind any port in a storm, thinking clearly isn't my forte at that point. I hate meds is an understatement, especialy when nothing seems to work. Tim
