In my view, they won a long time ago. This issue and many more like them have been going on since 9/11. They went so far as to try and arrest a child for eating 'freedom fries' while in a station.
In the DC metro system, a person is not even allowed to use the public restrooms during times of special events in the DC area. The claim.....we need to keep em locked to maintain security.
Just glad I did not see this encounter, for I too, would be sitting behind bars right now.

That annoyed me. If you go to the link listed on that story, WMATA, you can contact them for complaints.
I felt the urge to voice my opinion, even though it didn't pertain to me. It did piss me off though, because it was a female, and I feel I need to back her. Not to mention I love candy bars...and I should back candy bay eaters everywhere! And NO ONE is gonna tell me when I can eat one!

The Metro line has been this way for years just gotten worse since 9-11. The sad part is I havent lived in the DC Metro area for 6 yrs and I still know its that bad!! LMAO

At the risk of starting another brewhaha, God forgive me...
 You know, I can see pegging Ashcroft as a Moral Majority extremist and a Big Brother advocate, but this is taking the hate just a bit too far, don't you think? I can't see even him directing the arrest of people for finishing up a candy bar as they walk down the steps into a subway. I really doubt he's any kind of force behind the snack police.
