I had a great pain free weekend in Nashville. 4 days and 13 hours of total pain free time. Anyone care to take a guess as to why that happened ? I have NO idea !! Now ... I've used 4 or 5 injections since late Tues night / early Wed morning. Back to 'normal' sucks !! Unsolved

I think you were pain-free because of the amount of love and care that were so freely given. I'm sorry you're suffering again... Hang in there, my friend.

Michael, That story is just too weird. I was in cycle getting hit everyday like normal until the day I showed up at Davcon in January. It was the same thing. From the time I walked into the atrium until we left, I never got hit. Too stange. I remember AllyOop telling me the same thing happerned to him at Nashcon. There has to be major VIBES going on around here. Sending you VIBES and more VIBES. I hope you become PF and stay that way. Hang in there bud and kick the Beast's ass !!!!!!

The explanation is stress. Stress is not just the negative crap people give us. Going on vacation leads to major adrenaline/cortisone increases - Which can keep the beast away. Get home, and these chemicals drop. Bang!! When I go on vacation, I can get manic. A switch flips and the normal limits seem not to apply. Stay up late, major drinking every day, get up early and feel fine. Under normal circumstances at home, 3 beers and I am finished for the night.

| Stress works opposite for me. Stress = CH attack (alot). Go figure. Everyone is different, that's for sure.

Stress can trigger for me, but usually only after some time - enough to exhaust my adrenal glands. Everyone different? Yup, lots of different patterns among this crew.

Stress usually triggers posterioral clusters, where I get these excrutiating, shooting pains in my ass. Generally, they are caused by co-workers who apparently seem to feel that their personal mission in life is to piss me off.

| ROTFFLMAO!!!!!!!!!!!! STRESS!!! Yea, stress affects me too! I even record it as a trigger in my HA diary. Like KOP, it's a negative trigger for me. Blue, you may have missunderstood me when we were talking. I will clarify. Five yrs chronic. June 20, 2004 started 26 days PF. Ended PF streak July 16 around 5:30 PM(1st day in Nashville). Got hit twice that night, first one was a whopper! Since then- PF! Go figure. Mind you, I'm not complaining. I think I got hit due to the stress of meeting everyone. As for my PF time, I can only attribute it to the change I made on my med dosages. I did drink Fri and Sat, but I didn't get hit Sat. I don't think alcohol was a trigger. One side note: When I got back, my feet were swollen. I don't know what caused that, but I did cut back on the lithium a little. Michael, maybe you need to find one big 24/7 PARTY! Move to Vegas! Hell, I don't know. I remember talking to you on Sunday, b4 we left and praying that it was going to be a new beginning for you and you'd remain PF. I really and truly feel for you brother. May you find the answer soon. ..............................................alley

| I would agree. I believe it's the same reason I never get hit at work, but as soon as I'm off it's like clockwork. But everyone's different. Personally I think it sux that way! I'd much rather have stress as a trigger than have relaxation as a trigger! Having to stay relaxed vs. having to stay stressed? What a shitty thing to have.

Bring on the stress. Mine disappeared during the most stressful time of my life. I can't prove it but I think there is a good chance that it played the major role in my becoming pain free. Charlie
