I finally got home!!

BillyJ and Luke brought me to the airport at around 4 or so.  Then I wound up running into Dave, who was still stuck there (poor guy!!).

My plane wound up running late, which made me a bit nervous because I only had 30 minutes to catch my next flight from Washington to Philly.  I got on the plane and sat down and who showed up for the seat next to mine but Kathy (magman's wife)!!!  Soooooooooooooo cool.

So we talked the entire flight to Washington.  When they told us we were going to be stuck in a holding pattern, I called the flight attendent back to our seats so I could ask about maybe getting off the plane first (we were in the second to last row...next to the bathroom....and boy did that smell!!), but they wouldn't let me do it.  They had no info about my connecting flight.  Best they could say was, "They know you're getting in late, and if they decide to wait, that's up to them."  Niiiiiiiice.  So needless to say, I had a few choice words for the flight attendent after what happened to me on Friday/Saturday coming down.

Kathy gave me her home and cell number and offered to let me stay there if I needed to. Smiley  My dad was going to drive to Washington if I didn't make it up here, so I could have stayed over with Kathy until he got there.  Then she was even going to be so kind as to walk me to my next flight and make sure I got on!  But......as we were about to land, they made an announcement saying that the Philly flight was waiting for those of us who needed to be on it.  It was just great to be sitting with Kathy and such a coincidence to run into clusterfamily in the airport and on the plane!!

The flight to Philly from Washington is very short, and I had a window seat.  The guy next to me fell asleep, and wouldn't you know I got hit (like maybe k5 or 6) on the damn plane.  grrrrrrrrrrr  NOT happy.  That flight doesn't allow you to get up because of the short length.  So I chugged a couple bottles of water...

When we got to Philly I put on my sunglasses because the lighting was hurting my eyes, and everyone was giving me these weird looks.  So I thought to myself...that I really wished I was back with people who understood and didn't ask questions like that!  My dad was waiting for me right on the other side of security and we got my bag and he drove me back here to center city. Smiley

I miss everyone sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much!!!!  I think it is going to be a long week after that weekend!!!  Much love to all of you and thanks SO much to those of you who really helped me out with some things.

Love you all,
Carrie Smiley
