...Anyway, here is some ammo for bragging rights. One of our teams from my BN just got 80 confirmed kills in a
4 hour firefight. There was no friendly KIA or WIA.
Oh, what makes it even better is how we confirmed it.
There is a new policy in effect over there that all enemy KIA have to be secured and stored until the Red Cross can come and pick them up.
Our boys loaded all the bodies up in trucks like cord wood. There is confirmation for ya!! Another tid bit of information..... there was only 10 guys on that team.
Pretty good kill ratio if I do say so myself!!!

Here was a great story involving the zero coalition casualty rate in a 4 hour firefight...that the author turned into a Republican commercial.
I'm sick to my stomach...not that our Special Forces had this victory but that someone would make it nothing more then a Republican sound bite.

No doubt our troops have superior training and equipment, and on a normal battlefield engagement kick ass in a serious way. But the troops are in a nation-building program where most of the fighting will not be conventional. And the statistics cited directly above were cherry picked to mislead.

Negativity? Maybe. Or realism in the face of a negative situation. I'm not saying that some things haven't improved. But it isn't all sunshine and roses. I want to hear the good, the bad, and the ugly - not just the good. And I don't think that overall things are improving there. I will check out the blogs you mentioned.
Facts are facts, except when different people have facts that disagree. And even if we agreed on the facts, interpreting them and coming to a conclusion can be done in different ways.

He is doing just what the left in this country have shown to be their modus operandi. They cannot admit that anything currently happening is good. This would be admitting that the Bush administration has done something positive. They have no strategy to deal with the current state of things. No proponent from the left can have you or Thomas or anyone else posting anything positive about the man listed as their arch enemy. This is just made more evident by the attack on Thomas and his friend and by Charlie saying most of what I posted in a different thread was lies.
I must give this to floridian, he is the only lefty I can think of, off the top of my head, who actually tries to back up his opinions with something other than more of his opinions.

What is a shame is that he is being slammed for writing his opinion to a like thinking friend of his. Nevermind that that his opinion is accurate. Everytime something good happens in Iraq, it is either overlooked or down played by the libs/dems in this country. There comes a point where you gotta get excited that you scored one for for your country AND your political party.
