Tommy -----Original Message----- Subject: "SF Team" 80="Muslims" 0!! A heart-warming note from Army Special Forces friend in Iraq! This sure ruined the day for Dems/Libs! I have sanitized the authors name/specific unit for obvious reasons but he's part of an Army Special Forces (Green Berets) contingent in Iraq that are really kicking ass and delivering a load of well deserved "paybacks" on Muslim enemy. No wonder the Libs/Dems are whining like stuck pigs, I mean "traitors" (My apologies to the pigs of the World!), THEIR boys are getting creamed! Take heart and enjoy the read! B.L. _____________________________________________________________________ _ _______________________________________ ...Anyway, here is some ammo for bragging rights. One of our teams from my BN just got 80 confirmed kills in a 4 hour firefight. There was no friendly KIA or WIA. Oh, what makes it even better is how we confirmed it. There is a new policy in effect over there that all enemy KIA have to be secured and stored until the Red Cross can come and pick them up. Our boys loaded all the bodies up in trucks like cord wood. There is confirmation for ya!! Another tid bit of information..... there was only 10 guys on that team. Pretty good kill ratio if I do say so myself!!!

Fuckineh!! The men in the SF kick ASS!! I hope they air it all over Al-Jizz, so that every little radical assh*le who thinks about becoming an "insurgent," suddenly reconsiders. And if you think THAT'S ferocious, just wait until this new government decides that it's had enough of their shit. Whoo-boy... LET FREEDOM RING! God bless Iraq and her noble people as they open a new chapter in their history, lives, and shine as a beacon to others.

Here was a great story involving the zero coalition casualty rate in a 4 hour firefight...that the author turned into a Republican commercial. I'm sick to my stomach...not that our Special Forces had this victory but that someone would make it nothing more then a Republican sound bite. quote..."No wonder the Libs/Dems are whining like stuck pigs, I mean "traitors" (My apologies to the pigs of the World!), THEIR boys are getting creamed!"end quote Most of us didn't fight for the Pubs or Dems...we fought for Country. No doubt our troops have superior training and equipment, and on a normal battlefield engagement kick ass in a serious way. But the troops are in a nation-building program where most of the fighting will not be conventional. And the statistics cited directly above were cherry picked to mislead. Today's Conservative and Moderate Voices against the Iraq fiasco (7-1-04): Senator Chuck Hagel, Republican Senator from Nebraska The war against Iraq has hurt us in the war against terror. "We are seeing huge cracks developing in our force structure" and a draft may be needed. http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?file=/chronicle/archive/2004/0 6/30/MNGTS7E5RK1.DTL Pat Buchannan The U.S. invasion of Iraq was a strategic victory for the enemy. The Arab world has been radicalized and supports the Iraqi resistance in its drive to defeat and expel the Americans. http://www.wnd.com/news/printer-friendly.asp?ARTICLE_ID=39199 General Accounting Office Iraq is worse off than before the war. The electric system is worse off. The courts are worse off. The new Iraqi security forces are poorly trained and can't be relied on. etc. etc. http://www.gao.gov/new.items/d04902r.pdf http://www.realcities.com/mld/krwashington/9041465.htm Many American contractors are dropping or scaling back on on their contracts. Foreigners are increasingly limited to the Airport and the 4 square mile green zone. Secularism is being replaced with fundamentalism, and girls are less likely to attend all those renovated schools with new Saddam free text books. But other than that, things look very bright.

Well, thank you for shitting on the good news, Floridian. The statistics I posted were from a site that is run by Iraqis from this site, here: http://www.untoldiraq.org/# And here is a letter from Iraqis to the American people: http://www.untoldiraq.org/news/iraq_ad_600.jpg The majority of the comments and links that you posted were links to things stated by American senators and American newspapers. I think Iraqi citizens have vastly more credibility. Whatever... You are welcome to your pessimistic views. The media can kick dirt over the positive things that are taking place for only so long. The facts are glaringly different.

Quote: The majority of the comments and links that you posted were links to things stated by American senators and American newspapers. |
| Well, the source you cited most frequently was the Coallition Provisional Authority, which is in fact the White House appointed agency that was in charge of the occupation. Quote:I think Iraqi citizens have vastly more credibility. |
| Really? Which Iraqi citizens?? The Shiites that like Al Sadr?? The former Ba'athists?? The ones that were hand picked by the US CPA?? The www.untoldiraq.org organization is not a grass-roots group of Iraqis - it was created by a neocon think-tank in that is pro Israel (unlike real Iraqis). It is tied in with the groups that got us into the war in the first place. The www.untoldiraq.org website 'contact person' is Bill McCarthy. His phone number (202-207-0183) is at the Foundation for the Defense of Democracies (FDD). Quote:Republican Party insiders dominate FDD's board and staff. FDD's three board members are Steve Forbes, Jack Kemp, and Jeane Kirkpatrick. Its two “distinguished advisers” are Newt Gingrich and James Woolsey, while other advisers include Gary Bauer, Richard Perle, William Kristol, Walid Phares, Charles Krauthammer, and Frank Gaffney—all prominent neoconservative figures with multiple links to the Defense Policy Board, Center for Security Policy, American Enterprise Institute, Weekly Standard, and Project for the New American Century. http://rightweb.irc-online.org/org/fdd.php |

http://iraqthemodel.blogspot.com/ Thanks again for attempting to discredit me and the statistical facts. Exactly why you are doing this, I have no idea. At any rate, you can also check the blog linked above. It's written by three Iraqi brothers who have no ties or links to the West. Here is another: http://www.iraq-iraqis.blogspot.com/ For whatever reason, you seem to have taken a personal affront to anything good taking place in Iraq or being reported by anyone, even from a wide variety of sources. Whatever. I'm not here to change your mind or convince you of anything. I found these facts and found them compelling and encouraging, and presented them just as I found them, with no particular political spin. You may continue pissing your negativity onto the rest of this thread all you like, but I won't be reading it. Good day to you, sir. -Frank

Negativity? Maybe. Or realism in the face of a negative situation. I'm not saying that some things haven't improved. But it isn't all sunshine and roses. I want to hear the good, the bad, and the ugly - not just the good. And I don't think that overall things are improving there. I will check out the blogs you mentioned. Facts are facts, except when different people have facts that disagree. And even if we agreed on the facts, interpreting them and coming to a conclusion can be done in different ways.

This would be admitting that the Bush administration has done something positive. They have no strategy to deal with the current state of things. Instead, they use the all too willing media to distract the attention of the public with their loud crying and hand wringing over all the terrible things they want the public to believe is happening. This is why you see some terrible news reported on TV and then Samauri comes into chat and tells us how great things are going for him. For whatever reason, you seem to have taken a personal affront to anything good taking place in Iraq or being reported by anyone, even from a wide variety of sources. See Above I found these facts and found them compelling and encouraging, and presented them just as I found them, with no particular political spin. No proponent from the left can have you or Thomas or anyone else posting anything positive about the man listed as their arch enemy. This is just made more evident by the attack on Thomas and his friend and by Charlie saying most of what I posted in a different thread was lies. I must give this to floridian, he is the only lefty I can think of, off the top of my head, who actually tries to back up his opinions with something other than more of his opinions. |

| What is a shame is that he is being slammed for writing his opinion to a like thinking friend of his. Nevermind that that his opinion is accurate. Everytime something good happens in Iraq, it is either overlooked or down played by the libs/dems in this country. There comes a point where you gotta get excited that you scored one for for your country AND your political party.
