Just thought some people might be interested in this information.  It's from the National Headache Foundation website.  This is what it says, and the link to the site.

Quote:
During NHAW, the National Headache Foundation is introducing our new Headache Sufferer Identification Card, a wallet-sized card that you can complete with details about your headache condition such as physician’s name, your diagnosis, prescribed medications, insurance carrier, emergency contact and more.  This handy card allows you to easily access this information when requested, for example, during a trip to the emergency room or visit to another healthcare provider.  The Headache Sufferer Identification Card is FREE and available by calling 888-NHF-5552.  Get yours today

I wish I could Thomas, I'm going to miss everyone..... Cry.

My husband's company has offered me a temporary job working on an environmental study for Shell Oil.  They are going to pay for my hotel and are offering me an obscene amount of money.  Way, way too much to pass up......besides the fact that it's in NEW ORLEANS!!!!  Only problem is, no days off.

If something happens, I'll be in Nashville, but right now, it's looking like a no go.

Do you think the ER PEOPLE can READ it?  Tongue

Gonna miss you in Nashville Tracey. But NO/Nashville - Nashville/NO -- oh heck it's a toss up. But watch out for the Hurricaines! They're bad this time of year.... Grin

I think a card like this is a good idea ... but how many ER docs are going to take it seriously ?

I've had my neuro write scripts for certain treatments and meds to be taken with me to the ER. He's even called in before I was to arrive. I still had to go through all the same stuff and wait forever.  Sad

A card like this might come in handy during a KIP 10 though !!

Unsolved,

I'm hoping this one will make a bigger difference than a homemade one, if just because it comes from the National Headache Foundation.  It may or may not, but it's better than nothing....LOL.

Just shove it in their faces while you're screaming at them..... Grin.

Agreed, UN.  We need a different name for this... get the 'HEADACHE' out of 'CLUSTER HEADACHES'.  That should be on the schedule for the convention... rename this shit.

My mother-in-law is visiting... mentioned yesterday 'Aunt Sandy has those headaches too'.  I said 'Gtf out of here!  Clusters?  No shit?'.  She replied 'Yes... migraines.'

In the day of demerol and such it probably would not help a lot. Now that there are non-narcotic treatments like O2 and Imitrex it may speed up your assesment time, maybe they wont shine that fucking flashlight in your eyes!
