Pred is wonderful stuff if you use it correctly. It will usually stop clusters dead in their tracks but it does have a whole lot of side effects. I only use the medrol dose packs (7 day taper) to get a few days of rest during a cluster period.

Hope you get better soon. My doctor put me on Verapamil and Prednisone during my last cluster cycle. I got the Verapamil script filled. The Prednisone script is still lying in the kitchen drawer.

Ditto to what Thomas said. It's not just pred. Every med we take has the potential to cause us great damage if prescribed and/or used incorrectly. This is why, as Dave said, we as clusterheads need to educate ourselves, so we can know when something doesn't sound right.
