Are you happy with your current treatment plan? Has verapamil reduced your attacks from 5 kip 10's to 3 kip 5's per day and you treat those with 02? Have you adjusted your lifestyle to be able to make a life for yourself and your family, while still being chronic? Are you content in knowing you only have to suffer from the attacks for 15 minutes before the 02 allows you to finish dinner with your children?

Most of us have had to be content with such progress. To accept the fact that we need to make adjustments and go on with life the best we can. To accept what medical science has given us so far and to not let cluster headaches define who we are.

If so, this is understandable and we may not find a prescription for anything better in our lifetime. We must make the best of the situation. Be thankful for the help we do get, both through the medical establishment and through message boards and support we get from sites such as this.
To be thankful for the friendships we have made, for the help we have been able to offer to our friends, and for the support we get back in return.

I will never underestimate or demean the support that comes from such friendships, as it was support and friendships forged from similar message boards, that quite possibly saved my life more than once, over the last nine years online.
