Thanks! He's a mellow little guy. I'm going to give him a few days before attempting to hold him, but so far, he seems to be pretty happy with his new home. My cats aren't real happy about it, but I guess they'll get over it. LOL

LOL! I already have two cats. An orange, semi-longhair tabby who thinks she's the queen of the house, and a jet-black cat with yellow eyes who looks like a miniature leopard. Snakes are beautiful and fascinating. I used to keep iguanas when I lived in Japan. -Frank

No... King snakes are very gentle and shy. I briefly took him out of his cage and held him, this morning. He wound around my arm, his tongue going a million miles an hour, and then he started crawling all over the place. Very curious, very smart, and gentle enough that I have no problem with letting my 6-year old daughter hold him. I had an iguana some years ago, when I was living in Japan. That fawkin thing lashed me with his tail hard enough to raise a welt and bit me twice. He was a couple of feet long by the time I had to get rid of him, due to the fact that I was returning to the United States. That dude was cool, but quite aggressive.

Nawww... Not enough meat to make it worthwhile, but they are getting fatter. Soon... Very soon.... (Wait a minute: We ARE talking about the cats, right?)
