C'mon....invite YOUR Doc!! Dear Dr. Gabr, I would like to personally invite you, and any of your collegues, to the 2004 O.U.C.H. Annual Convention ( Organization for Understanding Cluster Headaches) which will be held in Nashville, TN , July 16, 17 & 18. This would be a great opportunity for you to meet many Cluster Headache sufferers and hear their stories. So far, there are about 85 people registered to attend the weekend event. There will be guest speakers on Saturday, and a banquet Saturday evening. The speakers will be Michel Volcy and Lori Choyce, from the New England Clinic for Headaches. The Convention will be held at the Holiday Inn- Vanderbuilt, in Nashville, and rooms are $86.00 if you say you are with the OUCH group. If you might be interested in a great fun filled country weekend in Nashville with a great bunch of Clusterheads, you can find more information on the OUCH website: http://www.clusterheadaches.org/conventions/2004/index.htm I hope you can make it! It would be an honor for any of us to have our own personal physician attend the Convention. Cordially, Debbie Hart

Dear patient, Holiday Inn? I don't think so? Do you have any idea how much money I make as a neurologist? I'd sooner sleep in my 500SL. Thanks anyway... Hugs and kisses, Your Doc Haha... Just kidding.

The only thing I would change in the letter would be to refer to the doctors by their title (Dr. Volcy, etc). Doctors are quite uptight about being shown this kind of respect, and often dismiss people who fail to do so. -Fu

Dear Ms. Hart, I would gratefully accept but I just dont trust you. You will make me call numerous times for a reservation only to have me wait for hours in the hotel lobby before allowing me in. You will then thrust a goody bag into my hand and dismiss me in 15 minutes. The goody bag will contain no where near the amount of goodies I need and it will take forever for you to convince the goody manufacturers to give me more. When I call you from my beamer to beg for anotrher audiance with you, they will tell me you are off playing golf. Nice try lady. I'm finding a new patient. The Doc
