Oooo. Nice. I have an irrational hatred of snakes. I wonder how pretty it would look without a head? That said, I love scoping them out behind glass... just in the wild they scare the shit out of me.

Poisonous snakes get killed. All others are welcome in my garden. I grew up in the desert, so we had gopher snakes, king snakes, and garter snakes. Then we had the nasty mofo's: Sidewinders, timber rattlers, and diamondbacks. Most snakes, (except for cottonmouths and copperheads), don't want anything to do with humans. If you make enough noise and give them plenty of warning, if you don't corner them, and if they aren't sitting a clutch of eggs, they'll slither off and find somewhere else to hunt. Snakes are the most misunderstood creatures on the planet.

| Heh heh! I pointed out that my fear was irrational. Actually, I have no problem with one that is hand held... I will even hold one in that case. But out in the wild, even the smallest garter snake has me on it's menu... I just know it! Wrokk the Brave!

The snake that Vig posted is a Garter snake and is harmless unless your me! Any snake scares the piss outta me!! LOL But with the help of Dave Ive gained a new outlook on them, due to the fact he has a 5 1/2 foot Red tail boa named "Diamond". Her tank is in my bed room!! "Ozzy" his 101/2 foot Albino Berm passed away last year. "Ozzy" was Dave's baby. But I must admit that Dave holds "the bitey end" of Diamond cuz if she bites me she WILL be made in to a belt or hat band!! Ive had too many run ins with copperheads and rattle snakes growing up in WVa over the years and then moving to BFE in Alabama was no better! I like my snakes behind under glass so to speak. Luke............Im tellin ya your trying to make me hurl over here with the pics of those coaster!!! LOL Very nice pics gents!! Leesa, who dont like snakes unless they are behind glass!!

Well, the rings are from getting reamed by various institutions. The military, the government, appliance repair companies, etc.

The picture is an oil painting done from 3 pictures taken by the Hubble Space Telescope. He didn't sign it and I don't remember his name. My wife is the artist in the family. Unfortunately she can no longer remember very much.
