http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/health/3804545.stm quote "Only romantic love triggered heightened activity in the hypothalamus - which controls feelings of arousal." So let me understand this - the hypothalamus being enlarged or overactive - or something - is associated with CH. It also controls feelings of arousal. If the hypothalamus also reacts to stimulation during arousal - then a possible conclusion is that CH sufferers jerked off more as youngsters and males the most? Or the hypothalamus activity came first and CH sufferers are a bunch of wankers? Or falling in love is a cause of these headaches? Mind boggles really - possibilities are endless. Just a thought! Shit... I'm 35, feel 80, act 20, and my hormones think I'm still 16. I would say I'm f*cked, but that wouldn't be entirely accurate either!

Entertaining thread--- My .02: we're completely vindicated--we all knew women were behind this thing somehow and now we have proof! If they just weren't so darn warm and yummy I'd be living as a monk in Tibet. So....are women worth CH? I guess we can rate them on the kip scale--- indeed I know 2 that are worth being chronic for on a >k5 daily, a half dozen or so can be classified as episodic so long as it's <3months. Yo bob, see that one there? She must be worth at least a k4 wouldn't ya say?

Yup. All the higher functions get shoved aside. It's like Garrison Keillor says: Nature's goal is for us to make more humans and then get us the hell out of the way....or as Isaac Asimov used to say: Men are mobile sperm bags. Not sure what he called the softer types. The medical types try too hard to link stuff that may not be linkable. I guess it's human nature though. Charlie

If the activity occuring in the Hypothalamus is caused by romantic love then I fail to see the correlation between jerkin' off and CH's...there ain't nothing romatic about that...lol. Your second explanation, ('Or falling in love is a cause of these headaches?'), makes more sense but doesn't apply to me either. Consider this... if "...both studies also showed reduced levels of activity in the systems necessary for making negative judgements." Maybe we should all just be a bunch of negative celibate jerks. Perhaps Jimmy Buffet was inspired by a clusterhead while writing Margaritaville... "Some people claim that there's a woman to blame " ~Jake

Maybe next time I feel a CH coming on, I'll put on a great porno tape, start whiiping skippy and hopefully, the beast will blow his wad as well and go to sleep and leave me alone for the night. That is of course unless the beast is a woman, then I'll have to do this twice before the MF'r falls asleep. LMAO yes even though it was done right the first time Seeya, Jimbo I gotta go, I thing my hand wants wants an after sex smoke.

| No wonder a freekin orgy-ism is a trigger for me! But then again, some times, seeing I am going to have one soon anyhow, let me go ahead and have fun first ... Speaking of which, um ... I think I might be busy for the next three and a half minutes, and then for the next hour or so, dancing ... Chuck

Three and a half minutes? You including the time for a smoke afterward? And be careful.............if you last that long just once she'll expect it every time.
