I don't want to start a flame war "Ol Chum" but I did want to let people to know that MS is not the only OS that can be wacked. ALL of them are vulnerable. I probably hate MS as much as you. Read the peeves post. Fortunately, I found a job where I can make a living because of MSs crapware. BTW... One of the articles is dated 6/4/2004. Do articles get obsolete faster than hardware now?

The worst problem with M$ windows, is that most are set up to run in root(admin), that is a security risk all in itself and the only patch is to not run in root. Of course M$ windows wannabe *nixs, most of them having "my"itis ( my computer, my documents), for example Lindows er Linspire also runs in root, which is probably why it comes with antivirus built-in. The lesson is do not run in root, especially when browsing the web. If you are using Win9x the only hope is to, like Root said, use a browser that isn't tied into your OS. Opus/Paul

LMAO, dude! You really get a kick out of posting this stuff, don't ya? I get a kick out of reading it, but I'm with EyeBall. I made a lot of money fixing problems caused by M$ Winblows vulnerabilities. One of these days, I'm gonna sit down and experiment with Linux. Don't have the patience to learn a new os right now. Keep 'em coming! Gator
