Yup. Say what you will about this thing, these men and women are incredible people. Man I'm happy for this guy and his family that he survived and was there to receive his award. Nice story. Charlie

It's shameful that in this country our troops are not looked upon or thought of in the same way as they are in America, each and everyone of them are hero's and yes that was a nice story! Cathy

| Oh there are plenty of people here that hate our soldiers, they are the one's who have no comprehension of the true cost of their freedom and aren't worthy to spit shine a soldier's boots with their tongue.

| Why on earth would you get flamed for posting that story? Did you post it on an Iraqi MB or something? Do you think that Capt Chontosh had some serious adrenaline flowing at that point...WOW! I'm bettin' he was ready for drink or two after that tussle. Jim, who's glad that guys like that are on our side.

Not that we should glorify the killing of anyone, but it is good to hear the positive things our soldiers are doing. Their bravery is unmatched. I have several friends who are marines and in the Air Force, all of them, when they have come back here for their sabatical before heading back have been absolutely apalled at how the media is treating things. They say it is just not so. Irregardless, it amazes me how these marines put themselves in harms way voluntarily to advance freedom. All of those currently serving do so because they volunteered. Such sacrifice. Many who are injured are begging to go back.

I would be interested in hearing more of what is REALLY going on over there, through the eyes of soldiers and the Iraqis who are working to put their country back together.

I would to. I can't wait till some of these guys are home. One has already said he is going to write a book. Marty is a marine and does something in intelligence. He is currently based in Qatar, but was involved in the advancement. He is limited at what he can say right now, but when he gets out, I expect him to say some pretty eye opening things. Marty speaks Arabic and remembers several people in Bagdad telling him "Thank God for you, American." amongst other things. It is ashame that less than 1% of the population, plus foreigners that have traveled there, are responsible for the uprisings. The percentage is small, but they are entrenched and heavily armed.

I suppose a large reason why good stuff that is done....and it surely is, isn't reported is that good news that isn't scary doesn't sell SUVs and boner pills. I get some in the paper but not much. Charlie
