ok family, I just had to tell someone just how shitting this day was.... Because of the ticket that I got for my accident when my car was totalled, an extra $300 came out of my pocket that I was not expecting. Granted the guy that hit me was fined more, but I still got a ticket for not maintaining my travel lane. And my family will only have $100 to live off of for the next 10 days until the 15th when the next paycheck comes in. We have food in the house and the bills are paid but it will be tight. Then on top of it, I called my daughters school and they tell me that her zoning variance was denied because she does not have a good record and has 26 absentses. At this point I lost it and told the lady that they are wrong. That she had like 5. So she pulled up my daughters records and confirmed that Shara only had 6 absentses. And they she would have to check with the principle to see what they where going to do, but that they were only accepting zoning variances for kindergarden and 5th grade. We have both my 7 yr old and my 21 mo old in the same day care by my work because 1) the school my daughter is zoned for is one of the worsed schools in the disctrict. It is in the bottom 5 % for test scores and is "in the getto" as my husband calles it. 2) I work over an hour from where I live and if there is an issue I want to be able to be close. 3) it is cheaper to have both of my kids in the same day care. As it is I paid $230 a week, and that was just with Shara in before and after school and I will be paying $270 a week during the summer. So for 2 hours I am in tears, after having to call my husband tell him that she was not going to be able to go to her same school next year and their day care telling them that I was going to have to most likely move them because of the change in schools. I was stressing because no schools that I called would even allow me to talk to them about a variance because it was after June 1st. And there are no day cares that are even close to my house if we where forced to place her in the school she is zoned for. So I called her school back to make sure that they changed the form so that it did not say that she had 26 absentses, because that would go into her permenant record. And they tell me that they looked at her records and she is an A student with no discipline problems and that they are going to approve the variance and she will be allowed to go to the same school. I thinked her and got off the phone. But all I wanted to do was scream at her that she was a fucking idiot for giving me a heart attack and stressing me out like that for no god damn reason. I have a total tension headache now from crying, which is like a cake walk compared to a CH but still annoying. My face is still bright red and I have stopped crying for aver an hour now. I feel like a fool for crying in front of everyone at work. ok I am done now. but I had to tell someone just how angry and stressed and freaked out I was.

Tiannia, Too late now, but try to believe that the problem will work itself out. The time to get upset is when it doesn't. I know my turn for the day care nightmare is coming soon. When I get a job who knows where it will be. Hopefully work will hold off until school is out, anyway, I am glade things did work out. Opus/Paul

Thanks for listening. It helped just to get it all typed out. I am wiped now. Totally emotionally drained. Glad it worked out for at least one more year. I just hate the fact that I have to do this every year, but at least I dont have to worry about it for another 11 months. -Tia

Sounds pretty shitty. Hope you didn't get too drunk afterward. Reading stuff like this makes me feel good about my little town of Jamestown, NY. Lots of silliness but nothing remotely like that here. We have one HUGE high school....pretty damn good one for the most part. You are a good parent. Charlie
