Found A Ride To The Doc (Finally!)

I finally found a ride to the Doc this thursday. My buddy Shy is gonna take me (thank God.) Hopefully he will be able to figure out what is wrong, and I should be getting the results of my last round of tests - though I'm sure if they found anything they would have contacted me, but you never know with Docs nowadays.
Been a rough day already. Since midnight, I've had 6 attacks (So I've already used my 'limit' on the Trex.) Didn't work on one attack, and that was a brutal Kip 10 for an hour. Still haven't got ahold of the neuro, as my right leg is worse and I was unable to walk over to my brothers to make calls. Having a hard time just walking around the apartment. Doing my best to hang in there though. I think it scared my niece last night when I was over at my brothers. I sat down in the rocker for awhile and when I got up, was in severe pain from the waist down. My brother had to give me a ride home since I could barely walk.
So far I haven't received any more emails from the 'idiot' Sarge. I kind of hope he does email me though, just so I can try to trace the headers and find out who is doing this. I have to admit, the first couple of emails kind of shook me up, but I'm okay now. I really want to thank you guys for your support. It really means alot to me. I had a good talk with Jim last night (JDH), and he encouraged me to get a script for o2 from my Doc, and if that doesn't go through, to try welding o2 (The Respi-Link place here in town is a severe pain in the a** trying to get stuff from.) Anyway, that's it for now. Thanks again, y'all. I love you guys and gals.

Peace,
Carl D

I think I know where she is going with this though. That there might be some pinched nerve or something.  You might want to think about that Carl.

I'm so happy you can make it to the doctor Carl...that has been weighing on my mind.  I know my car is a POS but at least it takes me to where I need to go and back home again...(till the next thing goes to hell...lol)  I have no one but me to rely on here...so good to know you at least have friends and family around to help when they can.

Pulling for you......

I've had a couple of people suggest it could be a pinched nerve or a bad disc. I'm not sure, but will mention the possibility to the Doc. I am right handed on guitar, so my strap goes across my left shoulder. I also play drums, and that works both side of the body. If I do have a pinched nerve, not sure how it happened. The leg that is killing me, well both of them are, but the right leg has got extremely worse. My sis in law mentioned maybe Sciattica (sic?). I don't know. I've had the problems in my arms at times, including numbness, aching and tingling. But I wonder if a pinched nerve could also cause paralysis. I had one episode last 4 1/2 hours, another one about 20 minutes, a couple of weeks ago my whole body was frozen when I woke up for about 10 minutes (I thought maybe my body was still asleep.) One night I even woke up screaming in pain because the whole right side of my body felt like it was on fire. To touch or bump anything made me about scream. I jumped in the shower and turned the cold water on, but that didn't help much. That lasted for an hour and a half. They attribute that to early-onset MS, but I don't even think they know what the hell is going on.
Right now, the calf in my right leg hurts and throbs, and increases when I put pressure on my foot. The upper leg aches and burns, as does my left leg. When I walk, I get kind of a jolt that shoots up the leg and hurts like hell. So, I haven't been walking much at all. It really sucks too because I am not getting things done that I need to get done. I haven't even been to the bands studio in 3 weeks! In any case, I have to call the neuro, and depending on what he says, might consider going back to my old chiropractor for a checkup too. I have to get to the bottom of this soon. It is slowly driving me insane. I don't have a strong tolerance for pain anyway.
Just been taking alot of Tramadol (yuck!!!) and alot of Ibuprofen, though I fear it may cause rebound effects on the Clusters. Up to 7 CH's since midnight, and am already over my limit on Imitrex.

Peace,
Carl D

You'd be suprised what pinched or severely cut off nerves can do. Lots of nerves come out of the back of your spine on the sides feeding sensation to all different areas of your body. Certain ones bein pinched off by herniated or buldged discs or arthritis or whatever will cause PAIN to the area it feeds even tho at area 'really' doesn't hurt (or isn't hurt or injured I mean)......the nerve being pinched or cut off is tellin your brain the area it runs too hurts sorta by mistake. But it is REAL pain.....and it can be dibilitateing trust me ! People can have messed up discs and not really know it till it gets to the point swelling or arthritis is closeing in that nerve. The nerves run thru tiny holes out of the sides of your spine to areas. It can effect your hands and fingers if your neck is bad......or legs and feet for lower areas bad.......even cause bad stomach aches. Tingleing numbness and all that can be signs.......or tightness............even chest pains. I sure don't know it all but I have spent hours and hours researching this shit......cuz it's my deal. Took WEEKS to get results from my MRI's and exrays.  Glad yer gettin a ride to the doc's........maybe it's herniated disc or sumthing goin thru a flareup and will back off after a while. Still can reflare but at least you'd get some relief when it heals up fer a while. Good luck at the docs. Crappy messed up spiney Pam
