I just want to say thanks to all our vets for the sacrifices they have made. I don't feel special, US Army reserves, 1857 - 1965, but I'm proud of dad. Combat infantry, 3rd armored division. Battle of the bulge, 2 Purple Hearts, Unit Citation and tales to hang your hat on. Damn, I miss that old guy. Kip

I just read an article that 1 out of every 4 vets of WW11 have died. They didn't live to see the War Memorial that's honoring them. I know my Dad, had he lived, would have an expanded chest about this. and yes, I miss him too. And the "stories" about how he won the war single handed - just him and his trusty old tank. This weekend brings back a memory from WAY back. Bill and I stood in an American cemetery in France during Memorial Day ceremonies... Hundreds of white crosses with a Star of David every once in a while. It was an awesome sight. I hope on this weekend, everyone will remember our guys in Iraq. I don't believe in this war, but support everyone of them and hope they're all home safe and sound soon. Enjoy the hot dogs and cookouts, but remember our vets are the reason we're enjoying them. Hugs BD
