Hopefully, everyone will take a little time, at some moment in this weekend, to reflect on the soldiers, sailors, marines, and airmen who have paid the ultimate price in their service to our nation.
On Monday, for those who have a flagpole, the American flag is raised to full-mast, then lowered to and flown at half-mast from dawn until noon, and at noon it is raised again to full-mast.
Enjoy the weekend. Appreciate freedom. Take time to be grateful.

Nothing like taking a mid afternoon nap in my camper this time of year to trigger a Kip Quake in my head.
With all of the other nonsense going on at the campground, I guess nobody will even notice me beating my head against a tree.
I insist on having a good time though.
Everybody have a safe, happy holiday.
Luke... I don't understand the rain free part. Our friends refuse to camp with us any more because we seem to attract rain when ever we set up a camp site.
Oh wow.... I guess I better quit screwing around and get to work too.

Glad the monument got built after so long and that Bob Dole lived to see it. From what I understand, about 1/4 of the veterans are still alive to appreciate it.
Saw a lot of it on CSPAN. Nice thing is that they will show it again. Strange that it took so long for this memorial. I know they bitched about what it might do to the mall for some time but still.....I haven't followed it enough.
