Now TODAY was very F**ked up!

As you know I have been having some major probs with my legs. Been plaguing me for many months now. Occasionally I have problems with my arms too.
I went to bed at 3am this morning, and when I woke up at noon, my legs hurt and burned, and when I tried to stand, I couldn't. They felt very wobbly and it was like the joints weren't connected properly or something. I was supposed to walk over to my brothers today, but couldn't do it. I wasn't evn able to get up off of the futon until 9pm tonight. I just tried to sleep as much as I could through it, and took some Tramadol (which isn't doing much) for the pain. I am finally up and about again, though my legs still hurt, my back is aching and my arms feel kinda tingly. Feels weird.
I go to my GP on the 3rd, and right now am trying to get in to see a new neuro - that was one of the calls I had to make today, but never made it over to my brothers house to use the phone. This just sucks! My greatest fear of all since I was young is to be in a wheelchair. I am scared that one day this fear might be realized, at the rate I am going. I want to find out what is causing this, and if it is reversable, I want it fixed PRONTO!
Walking is one of my favorite things to do. Been accustomed to doing it since I was 1 year old. Kind of don't want to lose that freedom now.
Done whining for now.

Peace,
Carl D

This may be totally unconnected and jus tryin to toss out ideas to what is goin on....cuz technically "I really don't have a clue"........but I have trouble with my legs and arms at times (alot) .....esp if I sit too long or first get up in the mornings....I will get up and stagger off into the distance.........sat on a picnic table for several hours at a hog roast last weekend (ouch.....that hurts big time but got too achey standin so long)....was watchin the drunks dance and do 'strange things....(very entertaining) ....I got up and I could NOT walk....stagger'd off and everyone cracked up laughin like hell at me thinkin I was really drunk (I was bit buzzed and real tired tho and was hurtin pretty good).......had a hard time doin the stagger walk to the truck where we camped out. I hit the hay and stayed there. Arms do it too.........all from bad discs from injuries thru the years for me. But I get the burning and all that crap and back aches deals REALLY bad. "Jus a thought here"......and you need to have it checked out so ya don't end up sittin more then standin therest of yer life. Jus do it Pam

PS: Moral to my story: I let shit go.......had some very serious accidents spine related but was too tough to go to the hospital and now I am paying for it. Coulda bought some PF time gettin shit fixed or doin theropy's 'what ever' way back when. We all know how precious PF time is !! So get shit checked out dude tay ?

Carl,

Cootie's right talk to a doc NOW. Dont wait until the 3rd - call and tell someone what is happening.  If nothing else call a local urgent care and talk to them and see if they think you should go in right away. I know you dont have a lot of extra cash, but there should be a local hospital that has to treat you no matter what.

Just throwing something out.  Does Diabetis run in your family. I know that my god son felt like his legs and arms where burning and he could not move them. Ad if someone touched him he would scream.  It might not be anything of the sort, but it is something to think about.

And "IF" you start ot feel better before you see the doc, dont decide NOT to tell him about it figuring that it wont come back you dont know that.

Please talk to a doc asap.

PF Wishes,
-Tia
