What on earth happened here while I was absent? WTF?
Yeah, Jonny has flamed me a time or two. A few people here have. I have flamed a few people.
Let me explain something:
I am in a band. It is alot of work, and also alot of butting heads. We get pissed at each other. We get over it, because we are all adults and live in the fricken 21st century! We are still like brothers. We have a common bond.
My brothers and I might get pissed at each other. I have been steamed many a time; but we are still brothers by blood. We have a common bond.
I came to this message board in '99 after being a CH sufferer since 1987, and I learned alot of valuable information; like why I had not had a remission in over a year, and what the term 'chronic' meant. People on this board gave me support at very dire times when I was, as we say, "out of rope." Sure some people flamed me. So what. When I was a child, if some kids picked on me on the playground, I didn't leave. I just ignored them and played with the other kids.
As for that scumdog Jonny...
Yeah, he has flamed me a time or two. He has even pissed me off. He has also helped me in many ways, and offered an ear when no one else would. Like many people on this board, we have a common bond.
Even though I may have periods when I am away from the board; but I always come back. Why? Because THESE are the people who know the horrific pain of cluster headache. THESE are the people who understand how difficult life can be dealing with this disorder. We have a common bond.
It is fine if someone chooses not to participate on this board. It is fine if a nurse or doctor chooses to not recommend this site. However, I was having some tests done a couple of months ago, and was talking with the nurse about my headaches. She immediately knew what I was talking about. She told me that there was an online support group. When I asked her the name of it, she said "Clusterheadaches.com." That made my day!
I told her I have already been a member for a few years. I told her if she wanted an update on how I was doing, to come to this board. I am the guy who always signs my posts...
