I just wanted to say goodbye to clusterheadaches.com
After this post I am deleting it as My Favorites, and will see if I can cancel my member name.
I have learned a lot here about medication and treatment. That was good.
I also maybe rambled a bit on some of these political posts. I have a problem. I am hypermanic.
BUT........When Jonny said, that "every family needs a retard", and several members laughed after it..... I am through.
A Retard? Does a retard:
a) Have a PhD in chemistry?
a) Have 8 publications in peer-reviewed journals and hold one US Patent. Most of these publications were about renewable energy and using different chemistries to destroy chemical weapons.
b) One of the top 25 tennis players in northern CT.
c) a musician. I have played im bands, and continue to write and record to this day.
A retard?!?!!?
Jonny, what does it say on your website? You make stuff with your hands?????
I don't care if you have OUCH tatooed on your testicles.

Funny how those that rant about Phd's and other noteworth accomplishments tend to degrade those that work with their hands. I think about how they'd freeze to death if someone else didn't fix their furnance with their hands....how they'd have to walk to work if someone else didn't fix their car with their hands.....the list goes on. And we wonder why young people won't work like we did.....all they have heard is how those that do physical work are dolts.
Sorry......that kind of thinking just rubs me the wrong way. A s s holes come from all walks of life......the problems start when an a s s hole argues with a prick. No pun intended.

Dude, I thought you had toughened your hide a little bit, the last time you started posting again you were doing great and blowing off that kind of stuff. It was a joke, it was a funny joke, I was one of those who laughed at it, LMFAO to be exact. I know for a fact that you are misunderstood ALOT, and I wish I could clear things up for you, but you are just a little different from other people and that is the way it is, but I think there are alot of people here who do understand you and like you. If you decide to start posting again I will appreciate seeing them and enjoy reading them.

Today was my first visit to this site and I must say that it is one of the most NEGATIVE and unsupportive sites I've ever been on! I am a R.N., specializing in pain management, looking for updated information and resources for cluster headaches and came upon this site. After viewing several postings, including the following quote from one member in regard to another for voicing his opinions, I can say there is NO way I would recommend this site to ANY of my patients!

There is a great deal of anger among many of the posters on this site. Perhaps that is the nature of this condition. But to take that out on others whose opinions differ from your own or who may be suffering from other conditions or illnesses is simply rude, insensitive and nasty.
I vote with Hypnotic Freddy on this one and say "Good Riddance to clusterheadaches.com".
Oh, by the way, Jonny...you misspelled "retarted"...the correct spelling is RETARDED.

Welcome to Clusterheadaches.com. This site from beginning to end, is the most comprehensive site found anywhere on the internet. If you came in the front door, there were welcomes and info per nauseum. It would take a person a full day to read it all.
This message board is a tiny part of it. And this particular forum is an even smaller part of the message board. There are many sections of this message board to address whatever you need support on. This particular part is the general message board. You gotta understand that most of us have been here for years. We laugh, cry and slam each other like you would your own brother or sister.
If you were to recommend this site to your patients or friends, the info that they need or support may not be found on this particular forum. If they need support, or want to talk about medications etc, there are forums for that and that is where they need to do their research.
We talk about that in here as well. But after 4 years, we don't just sit around talking about clusterheadaches all the time. We talk about everything on this forum because we know each others problems and families.
The most up to date info is at this site. You would do your patients an injustice if you know that they have clusters and DON'T recommend them to this forum.
This site has literaly saved lives. And if you were my sister, I would say........don't be a butthole

Ya ever notice how many newbies come on supposedly for CH information, so they logically start reading the General Posts section instead of the Cluster Headache Specific section or the Medications, Treatments, Therapies section. They find ppl BSin' with each other, and become offended that they aren't all sitting around crying about CH, so they feel the need to create a profile just to tell everyone how horrible of a site this is.
But then again... I agree with John123... Very suspicious indeed...

Ha! You got off easy. You should hear some of the names that SOB Jonny calls me!!!! And he calls me at my house at least once a week to re-enforce them too!
Yeah, that Jonny is a real SOB. He helped me and hundreds of other clusterheads with their oxygen questions, where to find the cheapest medical O2 regulators, bubblers (humidifiers), and is always consistent in helping out our CH brothers/sisters across the pond, attends and supports the majority of the CH gatherings, and he even sent me a ch.com bumpersticker a couple of years ago.
Yeah, that Jonny is a real SOB.....

May I suggest then that any CH sufferer you may direct here you simply add the disclaimer that if they don't have the thick skin required to participate on the message boards, to simply read and get what info they can. This day and age most people with internet access have probably been in other online message forums. They should know what posts and folks to take and what to discard as needed. Give them some credit.
