OUCH race car in action this weekend! - UPDATED

For those that have been following the OUCH racing promotion.....
So far, our search for a paying sponsor has come up empty.  Not good news. The positive spin is the OUCH logo will remain on the car for this Sunday's 150 lap race in Elkin, NC.
For those within easy driving distance, come on out and support the team and share in our efforts to get the word out about CH.

I wish I was in close driving distance to you. I'm a huge racing fan. I've even got my 3 year old daughter watching Nascar with me every Sunday.
Get on up to Illiana Speedway in N/W Indiana some time so I can see you.
Good luck with the sponsor search and I hope you get to the finish line first.

WOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO way to go Bill and team mates!!! This is KICK ASS!!!! My 18 month old son, 15 and almost 14 yr. old boys all watch Nascar. We ARE a Nascar family for sure!!! Dave has it sooooo bad that the cable com. wanted to put a "filter" on our cable and Dave told them "leave like it is and Ill pay the extra money" LMAO He cant nor wont give up his racin!! I DID IT!! Yes Im guilty of it!! So there  YES I changed him!! LMAO  But at least he cant nor wont gripe at me when Im watchin. HEHEHEHEEEE Gotta love it!!!

Ooooh Whats this all about... newbie mac here is sorta into racing as a arm chair sorta thing... I don't think I get this in NH as my tv watching isn't all that much of a thing, but this looks interesting..
Sunday huh.. Now i do have a Bud with satilite, and he might allow me to see at his place... if one of you might give me a few details I can see....
I noted the links with out reading hard enough, so i will look there..
Car 41 just became a favorite of mine..
It feels a bit akward being so new.. I hope no one minds.. Mac

ExplodingEyeBall - The ASA, based in Indiana took over our series this year, so I suppose it's possible we could race there. They'd have to come up with a great purse to make the travel for the teams work. Next time I'm traveling in the area, I'll check out that track. Always looking for a good show.
Echo - I wish a win would help, we won 3 last year and once this year. I'm still working on some leads......
Luke63 - The car is owned by David Pinnix of Kernersville Motorsports and driven by Jay Hedgecock. I've been involved in this end of motorsports for 20 or so years at various levels. Among other things, I'm the "offical" unoffical PR guy for the team. I've been with the driver in the vast majority of his efforts since 1987.
I will of course post results Sunday evening.

Well.....the rain won out today.......a hugh downpour caused our race today to be rescheduled for this coming Friday night.
The rain my have been a blessing in disguse as we fought power steering problems that caused the team to replace both the rack and pinion and the power steering pump. This in turn limited our practice time. When things go wrong, they snowball sometimes.
And....to top it off, the demon came calling while we were working on the power steering...I had to retreat to the hauler and fight with him for 40 minutes or so while everyone else fixed the car. Grrrr....
Now...the positives.....the car was fixed and we did qualify before the rain came. The best thing.....Vig came up to watch the OUCH car and take a few pictures. Vig vowed to return for the Friday night show......we could have a regular meet and greet if a few more clusterheads show up.

When's the last time you were at Illiana? They've done a bunch of remodeling. New bathrooms...Now you can flush instead of just pissing on the wall. Repaved the track. It's now a double track with a 1/2 mile oval that shares the front stretch with a smaller 1/4 mile oval.
The inside oval is used for pit areas for bigger races. I think they fixed up the parking a little bit too. I just about live there on the weekends that I'm not camping in the summers.
Bad weather has stopped me from getting there yet this year. If it rains next Saturday, I'm gonna find me a raincoat and hope they race.

I may be seeing you soon. I am pretty sure that Illiana has ASA races there some times. I went to a special 250 lap race there last year and I'm pretty sure it was ASA.
Good luck with the number 41.
I hope to see you in N/W Indiana.
