HI, i am 14 year old,(female) and for the last couple weeks i have been getting headaches every day. They occur in different parts of my head and last anywhere from 30 seconds to half a day. Im worried, i never used to get headaches before this. They are not really painful headaches though. Does anyone know what could be causing these or what i could do to stop them? Im really worried. Thanks!

Changes of locations to all parts of the head are not a trait of a Cluster. Half day durations are not either. I can't say what you're dealing with. A visit with your primary care physician is probably the first step you should take. Others on this MB may be able to provide more of a definative answer for you.

The best thing to do is to see a doctor. Until then, read all you can on this website and on the OUCH website. Just follow the links on the left. Also make a journal of when you get the headaches - where you were, what you were doing, what you ate, where the pain was and how bad on a scale of 0 (no pain) - 10 (the worst pain you could ever imagine). Be ready to describe the pain - dull, stabbing, boring, hot poker, throbbing, etc. Hopefully it is not ch, but the doc will have a better idea if you can give as much info as possible. Best of luck to you. Gator

Hi allyssap! Good news is it doesn't sound like cluster headaches at all. If they are not too painful and can last from 30 seconds to half a day, this is certainly not classic cluster. Thank God for you if it's not the case Best to see a good doctor as soon as you can. Good luck with everything! miCHel

I agree... not cluster. Could be tension headaches or the beginning of some other type of chronic daily headache. I would also see a doctor for some guidance and to make sure everything else is ok. Also, try not to let them tell you its just "stress" if you dont think it is. Doctors use that as an excuse too much.
