GREAT news!!! (not CH)

I just found out that I got my scholarship for my BSN/RN part of nursing school!!!!!  I was awarded the scholarship from Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, which was my first choice. That's also where the headache center is located. I'm sooooooooooooooooo excited!! So my tuition is paid in full, and now I just need to take out a much smaller loan to pay for housing, insurance, etc. I will be starting my 12 month program in a couple of weeks, and then after I finish that, I'll start working for TJUH for at least 2 years, and I will be working on my masters part time during that. WOW! I love it when things work out!!
Just had to share!

I'm real happy for you too Carrie. That is just fantastic. Believe me I'm happy, this is another step toward you being my doc someday. I will require very loooooong appointments, next to you on your piano bench.
Keep doing good Carrie, sounds like you are a well deserving person of the scholarship.  Glad to know you will be continuing to do the good you do.

Thanks all!! To put this into further perspective, my program costs just over $25,000 for one year! So this scholarship is a really big deal!!

Ya know I used to be premed. I only have to complete two semesters of organic chemistry and take the MCATs, and then I could go to med school. I may decide to do this after some time. For now, I will be sticking with nurse practitioner. We'll see where I end up!

The only downside is that my friend who is supposed to be my roommate, Diane...also applied for the scholarship. However, she had a different first choice of hospitals to work at, and that hospital system still hasn't told the scholarship committee who they will take yet!! So, Diane had to ask housing to hold her application until she found out, and they said they won't hold it. So now I might get a random roommate! Yikes!!!!!!  Can you imagine a random roommate witnessing their first CH attack? LOL Well, maybe it'll be good practice for nursing or med school or whatever they do! haha
In other news, I finished my finals last night! I am officially finished at Penn State! My graduation is next weekend, so I'll be coming back up here for that. My mom is on her way up now to help me move out. Wow...thought this day would never come!! Little bit sad, but mostly excited!!
