Last night, it was hot and I couldn't sleep, so I sat up and read a book. Usually, that's a big enough trigger, but then I decided to have a couple of fingers of scotch. No problem!
I've now been off of the verapamil for five days, without so much as a hint of pain.
Life is good.  Singing with joy...

Thank you again. Interestingly enough, yesterday afternoon, I felt "clustery," which is to say, I had a mild, almost imperceptable pain behind my right eye. It wasn't even bad enough to be called a shadow. Sort of like the beast giving me one last caress and saying, "Ta for now! I'll be back."
I don't care, though. The good news is that this crap has finally come to an end for now. The bad news is, I'm out of scotch! (OH!!! WILL THE AGONY NEVER END!?!?!?)
