Piano Recital Tomorrow (CD Info)

Hi y'all, I just thought I'd let you know that my senior piano rectial is tomorrow night at 8pm here at Penn State! I have put in a TON of time and energy for this, and I'm really excited about it....a little nervous too!! Here's what I'm playing: Bach Prelude and Fugue in b-flat minor (Well Tempered Clavier BookI) Beethoven Sonate in E-flat major Op. 31 No. 3 Poulenc Three Novelettes Chopin Polonoaise in E-flat minor Liszt Gnomenreigen Etude Schumann/Liszt Widmung (Dedication) Hopefully it'll go well! I cleaned all last night because I have a couple friends coming today and a lot of family coming tomorrow!! This is pretty much the last big thing I have before finals and graduation!! I'll have lots of pictures after tomorrow to share, and also it is getting recorded. If anyone would like a cd, once I have them, I would be more than happy to mail one out, so long as you wouldn't mind helping me with shipping costs. If that's the case, just PM me your address. Take care and lotsa hugz!! Lizzie

No worries Carrie... You know the material, its simply a matter of execution. I know you'll be fine. You also know the routine of a mistake, most folks won't know if you just play through it. knock em dead champ! Ramon

| hehehe OOps!! How about next week once this is all over, I will get a disk and record it, and you'll have a kicking copy because I will have just played my recital? Deal?? Tia, I think it was around 6am my time here this morning when I posted! hehe My sleep has been nutty lately with the prednisone, but I've been trying to get a good night's sleep during this week before the recital! Probably won't sleep much tonight though!! The recital is at 8pm tomorrow. Thanks for thinking of me, all!! It's been hard because from 11am this morning until 3this afternoon when i go back to practice, I've had to make myself just do absolutely nothing and relax!! (It's hard to do, honest!) and then I have practicing today from 3-5 and my dress rehearsal from 5-7. Then tomorrow is all planned out too!!! (EVen the part I planned out where I watch tv and eat pizza LOL) Hugz, Lizzie/Carrie

I can't wait! That's the *cool* thing about a Disklavier... when it plays back a recording, it's reproduced in every detail and nuance. It's so special to get a 'live' recording. THANK YOU! -Shawn

Hi guys! I just got home from the dress rehearsal. It went reallllly well!! My teacher was thrilled. So this is a good start, anyhow!!! Now I just hope it goes that well tomorrow. Here's to hoping the Beast takes a small vacation because he's certainly been making today difficult! Got hit before the dress rehearsal, and then as I was walking out to the car after the dress rehearsal a real big one. Deeeeeeyaaaaaaaaaam, I just wanna have some fun!! LOL Dad's bringing refills of O2 tanks tomorrow. I'm determined that this recital is going to kick ass, and the beast will run and hide!! Hugz, Lizzie

Ahhh... I was going to offer... if it was at the Harrisburg campus, and you like Trex, I could have some injectors or vials on standby there for you just in case. Or o2 for that matter. Close enough to that location that it would not have been any difficulty. Stage College is a bit of a haul! Best of luck! My daughter is into the piano... started 3 yrs ago at 7. Is good at it... just dislikes practice. Rock

Liz, I just wanted you to know how PROUD I am of you!! I know how hard you have worked just to get to here AND you have done it all while battling the beast. I look forward to hearing the results!! Today, as always, you are in my thoughts and prayers. Good Luck, Little Sis, although I doubt you will need it!! Be sure to let me know how things went and know that if I could be there to "cheer you on" I would!! Lots of Love, Donna D.

Thanks, Donna. Thank you for all the support you've given!! I woke up at 7am this morning, and James and I went for a walk outside. Then, I came back and hung around here for a little bit..w.atched a little bit of "Finding Nemo" LOL Then I went and practiced piano from 10:30-12:30, and James and my roommate Laura, and I went to lunch after that. I just got my hair done, and I have to say the woman was such a bitch. All she kept saying the entire time was how damaged and awful my hair was. Way to make me feel good... Ah well....my family will probably be coming over soon. Did I tell you before that my choir director (who is on my committee for my recital) scheduled a concert at the same time as my recital tonight? It would be my last concert in Essence of Joy, but...not gonna happen for me! LOL I just passed my director walking by the music building, and he was like, "they're all out and about..." like.. "why are you late?" Guess he forgot I have my recital.. LOL OK! The rest of today is going to be GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!! Funny story to tell you later about my roommate calling the cops on some people last night! Hugz, Lizzie
