Most of you have heard me talk about our dog Taco.
She got outside tonight wile Buddy was cutting grass a rock hit her and killed her instantly. I wasn't home. I was at my Moms. I came home to find Buddy not knowing how to tell me and tears in his eyes. Bless his heart he is taking it hard. He is feeling guilty. The hard part was telling JD.
I miss her she wouldn't go outside without one of us. Our hearts are broke. I know she is Ok but not sure Buddy is.  Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry
I am not ok I hurt damn it. I didn't even love her before I left. It sucks!

Yes you did E and she knew it. Animals know how much we need them. Even more then they need us sometimes.

Give Buddy a hug and it was not his fault, it was just time for her to be able to watch you no matter where you are.

I am so sorry to hear about Taco.  We have 2 dogs and I don't know what I'd do in the same situation. I personally believe that rabbits and squirrels go to doggy heaven too, to playchasing games with the dogs. You have my heart.

My gosh, Elaine......that is awful.

Like Tia said, she knew exactly how much you loved her.  She didn't associate you leaving with loving her. She knew you loved her all the time.  Knowing you, you probably gave her a hug many times a day.

Poor Buddy...what a sad freak accident.  It's a one-in-a-million thing.....she just happened to be in the exact wrong place at that moment in time.

I'm so sorry.  I know how it hurts.  Go hug Buddy now and try to help each other.
Love ya

Sorry to hear that Elaine. Losing anyone, a person or a pet, is hard. Lost a pitbull years ago in a similar fashion, so I know how it feels.

OOHH E, i'm so sorry to hear that Taco's gone!!

Believe me E, you and Buddy will be OK.  I lost a very dear and loving dog about the same way once, and it was so sudden that made it so bad, but what counts is the good times you had with Taco, and that can never be taken from you.  Please tell Buddy it's just not his fault, accidents happen every day, and there's NO WAY he could have avoided that one.

Again, i'm sorry E, and Buddy.  I know you will miss Taco a lot.

Thanks everyone. I am afraid it wil take us a little time to get over this. She wasn't just a dog to us. That dog loved us so much. Poor Buddy, he kept saying she looked at him to protect her and it was his faulT . I have only seen Buddy cry a couple of times, but last night and this moring was the worst. We will be ok in time. The other two dogs we had saw it and they are hurtting too. JD he don't understand, but he is better than any of us with it.  The hard part for me is that dog knew every morning when I open my eyes from sleep, she would be jumping all over the bed kissing on me like to say Good Morning. Then she would sit by me and she always wanted my coffee. Every morning I saved her a little coffee. I didn't get my kiss and she didn't get her coffee this mornng.  Cry
OK its nervor pill time !

Taco was the little dog you adopted wasn't he? or he adopted you. I remember we all tried to name him for you, wasn't he a chiuahaha (can't spell it!) so we all came up with Mexican names.

I'm so sorry. I would hate to lose my little Jack Russell, he is like another child. Cry
