hello to everyone,
I am brand new to the web site, How I found it is quite the story. I am at the "over 20 year" mark with what I now can call "Our problem". I thought that I was the only living human that had this problem of cluster headaches, although I had a co worker an older man that stated he had them also although I never observed him dealing with an episode. I remember him as a very "angry man. Angry at everything and everyone ,and I in secret knew why, I told no one of my illness. Men just dont do that (ha). That was over 23yrs ago and now I am 47 yrs and a lot wiser and open about our illness. I wanted to start kind of "easy" because Im new to Y'all. I read alot of the message board yesterday and was so intrigued and excited to know that "others" suffer, from the same incidents that I have had over these many years. What touched me was the facts of incidents where we (patients) were in the M.D office and E.R."turkey files" and drug seeking files ( verbal whispers from M.D. and Nurse) and placed in their PC @ Med. facilitys as such. They always made me feel that I was a druggie needing a fix. More to come. Ive been on all the drugs pain and preventive (everyone availible). I humbly submit my years of experience

Your story sounds very similar to a lot of ours. For me, the first 12 years of these things I figured I was the only person going through this and it was so frustrating to try and explain it to people who didn't understand. Then I found this place and it's changed my whole outlook on CH's.
There's tons of good info AND good people here so read up and don't be a stranger.

Yeah I remember when I first was getting them I hoped the MRI or cat scan would show something so they could fix it. Really scary times.

Welcome MarkieMark.
Sure is a relief to know that you're not an alien after all. Lots of good stuff here. Meds are more helpful here than the docs office most time. Just keep reading and find yourself something that works. If anything, reading the posts around here will keep you amused between attacks. Most everyone here have the same stories that we can all relate to. Very humorious at times.

Welcome to Clusterville! Sucks the reason you are here, but if ya have CH there is no better place to be. Hope you packed your thick skin, 'cause there will be times when you'll take the sarcastic hit or two. We are a family here for the most part. Family members do that to each other sometimes. Blow them off and give back as good as you get. Read everything you can concerning the tips and tricks. Also ditto the going to OUCH website and joining there as well.
I'm a newbie both here and to CH. Only been banging my head several times a day since November 2003 with 2 weeks off in January 2004 for good behavior. These people are the best. You'll see.
