I was thinking about Easter Past. I am ashamed to say I don't get to go to church every Sunday but Easter we always try to be there. When the kids were little it was manatory they knew what Easter was all about. Each year the Easter story is read. Then they would get to go hunt Easter eggs. One year I just had so much money to spend, it wasn't enough for a nice basket. I wanted them to have a easter basket and be able to hunt eggs at church. I saw this homemade basket in a book and made four. You cut a hole in the front of a gal mike jug. and on the top you put a round stiarofoam (sp) ball and out of pink paper you make ears and glue them on the ball. Put funny eyes on the ball and glue a black pice of paper for the nose and lips. Then you glue cotton balls all over the body. and a big clump of cotton balls for the tail. You add just enough green grass inside to fill the bottom . I felt so bad when they got up thinking they would hate them. They loved it! I was so happy! They couldn't wait to go to Sunday school and show everyone their Easter basket. After Easter was over they used them on their dressers to hold things like hair clips, my son used his to keep his tapes in. They were used till the cotton turned brown. If you need a cheap Easter basket that your kids might like or want to do something with your kids try this fun Easter basket. My kids still talk about it. OK this wasn't CH but it was a nice memory

That's how we did it when my kids were young. It was a project time thing - fun for them, cheap for me. Now my kids are too old for it and my grand daughter is too young. I'm just biding my time until I can sit down with her and show her how to make her own basket. Gator
