I collect/buy vintage hunting and fishing items, If someone emails me with an item for sale and I buy it, I'll donate 10% on top of the purchase price to O.U.C.H. I think this could be a great moneymaker towards our cause. What items do you like to collect? I got alot of stuff, SO SPEAK UP! Seeya, Jimbo P.S. I'm gonna email jonny, if you don't pony up the extra 10% and we find out about it, I'll buy him a plane ticket to wherever you are and have him collect it from you in person!!!!!!!!!! Let's not go there. You don't want none of that!!

If I was selling an item it would make sense. But as the "buyer" I have an obligation to try not to screw myself when purchasing something... Plus your more likely to fetch a better price selling something if part of the proceeds are donated to charity. Or at least your just donating a percentage of mo9ney that is coming to you, rather than just forking out extra dough. Sounds like you just want to make a donation! Go for it! Let's say 10% of your grocery bill each month. That way we cut out the ebay middleman and everybody's happy!

Hi, I do a lot of charity work myself on Ebay. I raise tons of money for a children's Hospital in New York. In fact, I have 3 pretty big name celebrities who work with me - I send them stuff, they sign it - I auction it off. I raised 1500 dollars last year in only about 2 months. I buy everything myself and 100% of the money (minus shipping which they get charged extra for anyway) goes to the charity. Now I know that 1500 dollars isn't A HUGE amount of money, but you have to remember - I'm only 1 person and I'm only doing this 2 -3 months out of the year. The rest of the time I spend collecting things to auction and so forth. Sometimes the artist that I'm working with is on tour and I can't get the stuff back for 6 months. Then I try to wait and spread everything apart so I have enough to go around for the rest of the year. Example: I have a charcoal drawing up there right now of a celebrity that I sent to him to get signed that someone donated to me. It's going for 56.00 already. And there is still 3 days left. I started it at 5.99. I'm all for the Ebay thing myself. You can even register AS a charity (which I'm not because I do it to help, I don't work for the hospital) and get the word out. The only thing you have to be careful of is non paying bidders, but I've only run into that a couple of times litterally in the last 3 years. Feedback is always available and you as a seller have the right to NOT HAVE someone with a negative history or 0 history to bid on your auctions. Plus their safe harbor is pretty good. They are quick to respond and refund you your listing fee's. I don't know. I've had luck with it. If anyone wants to contact me for the auction links, feel free to! Much Love, Toni

YO! Jimbo - Ramon's got an antique 1902 Winchester Rifle... but I think it's more of a WW1 collector thing than a hunting and fishing thing. But - it's worth about $1000.00 for the collector. Want it? Tina
