OK now I have tried my best to listen to what everyone has to say about how bad we as the BOD and Officers have run O.U.C.H. I am trying to make you all happy and do my job as a BOD. Also as chair of the fundraising committee. I am only one person and can only do so much. I don’t work outside my home, but I do have responsibilities other than O.U.C.H. and that means I am not on the computer 24/7! Maybe that is what you expect from the BOD and Officers but that is not the case for any of us to my knowledge. We all have other responsibilities. This means that we are all not here at the same time every day and when things come up like Mr. Gill and a letter going out to him. It takes a little time. We don’t want but one letter going out to this man by O.U.C.H. and Ken Olson is the man to do it. It’s the week end any letter written today has got to be mailed and it will take the post office a week to get it to him then it may take another week for the man to get it. Now its not a emergency that has to be done this second. We want it done right.
I was elected to do a job by the members. I am doing the best I can at this job. To be honest. I can not do what I need to and try to please each one of you it is a impossible task to ask of anyone. We have all of your complaints and are working to correct them. Please give us time to do so.
Now the big secret that all of you are so upset about. If we were in a meeting room and all of you were there we could tell you. This being the Internet we can not tell you, this can not be posted. In time you will all say. “OH NOW I UNDERSTAND”! You will also understand that its not that big of a secret anyway.
The BOD was upset also about this until we all were told and we now see why just like you will in TIME.
Cat has been taking a lot of heat for this we all have but it’s worth it. I thank Cat for not throwing in the towel and saying to Hell with it. I Thank all the BOD and officers for that.
You elected us to do what is best for O.U.C.H. we are trying our best to do just that. Now we can spend the whole term defending ourselves or doing O.U.C.H. work. If you all would just trust us to do what you elected us to do and get behind us things just might go a little faster. We are going to make mistakes that’s a fact, we are human. We are doing our best not to make those mistakes.
Maybe some of you have a personal problem with some of us. You know throw those personal problems out the window. O.U.C.H. is for all of us. We are working for more understanding from the general public and the medical profession, insurance companies and so on. We as leaders and the members working for the same thing. You want to say we aren’t doing our jobs its because we are to busy keeping all of you happy or at least trying.
We can say the same thing you are. Your asking where is the BOD and Officers we can ask where are the members its tit for tat here. You guys want us to fight for you all and be nice to you all. Its kind of hard when ya’ll are beating us up all the time. We are already working on some of the mistakes you all say we have made. Please give us more than a day or two.
Now come on less work together on all this Please. I don’t want to spend this whole year like this.
You have good people in office. We have good people as members lets work AS ONE BIG TEAM PLEASE! I am not just for the members I am for O.U.C.H, as a whole !

As Director of a chapter that is only a "paper chapter" right now, I can see both sides point of view and I choose to remain silent as disharmoney only slows the issues at hand.
As for the post office issue...once the letter is drafted and complete, please contact me and I will donate the overnight charges to assist in making a very good impression on a gentleman suffering CH'er that:
a. Could use our support
B. happens to be very much in the eye of the public and could possibly help spread the understanding of CH!
All you will need is my corporation's UPS acct#.

Elaine, I would be willing to bet, that quite a few officers and BoD members see something from me, and think, "oh shit, what does that loud mouth trouble maker want now?" Oh, well, so be it. But I want to PUBLICLY state that I support you and all the other elected officials of OUCH. Many of my comments have been kept to email as I do NOT want to start a war by some that may misconstrue my intent. I am trying to help you help us.
I may bitch and moan (because I am a pain in the ass? Maybe! heehee!) but I do support and am proud of each and every one of you!

Chuck I know you support us I have never thouht you didn't. Everything is going to work out for all of us ! We just have to support each other. Its a new day a new start less just go from here and see what happens, none of us can change yesterday.
Hey when are we all getting together again the southeastern group? I been waitting to hear, Didn't you say some time in May?
Ya'll are welcome to come to my home. I am in Ga. But have lots of room. If you don't mind animals and kids. Everyone is welcome here have lots of beds and floor space. May would be a good month for me. Pleolpe wanting to stay in motels there a nice one about 10 miles from her.
