Holy shit.... I've been taking Depakote for a few days now, and with the exception of one mild cluster, I've been pain free for the past few days and nights. Last night, it caught up to my ass.
The Beast walked up, dug his thumb into my eye and laughed, "Hey, you little fucker! Thought I'd forgotten all about you, didn't you? Just a little reminder....."
I then proceeded to have two of the worst clusters I've ever had. The first one went away around 9:30. About a half hour of the pain marathon.
Then I was sleeping and up at midnight, holding my right eye and sobbing in pain, writhing and pressing my head and eye into the pillow. This one lasted for the better part of an hour, during which I walked around the hotel that I was staying at, plinked around for a few minutes on the piano, (until the a$$hole hotel Nazi came and kicked me off, saying that the piano was closed. "NO, it's NOT FUCKING CLOSED, because I OPENED THE FUCKING LID!! Wanna FIGHT!?!?" Actually, I said, "Yes sir," and quit playing.   
The fucking Beast finally turned me loose around half past midnight, and I fell into a deathlike sleep until it was time to wake up.

I glared at the hotel Nazi. For a split-second, I seriously thought about how good it would feel to just unload on his ass. That's why I went the other way and was very polite and compliant. At least my words were. I think the look in my eye scared him. (And my right eye was bloodshot as hell!)
Kind of a neat thing that seemed to help: Through the hotel, they have a stream with little waterfalls and stuff built into it, and it runs through the entire first floor of the hotel. I spent some time sitting beside it and the cool sound of the running water seemed to help...

Post like this makes the beast feel close even when he isn't knocking on our doors and it breaks my heart when I hear others hurt like this to. I am so glad not to be alone and have you guys, God there are so many times like now I wish I was alone and you all did not hurt.
Sorry the beast is still around for ya. Maybe its the end !
Maybe he is just mad you found something that helps that usually makes him mad, he gets the maddest when he knows that. You will win in the end. We all will !

Tonight, I keep having long-running, mild clusters. It's there, doesn't go away, but neither does it turn into a full-blown marathon of pain. So much for the miracle of Depakote. I'm so disappointed...
