Usually there is (are) speakers with knowledge in the subject of the care and feeding of clusters. Doctors, insurance reps, drug manufacturer reps, etc. And of course there the serious stuff........ Singing and table dancin', fartin', smiling and cryin', porchin', talkin' and listenin', drinkin' and smokin', playing grab-ass, eating, picture takin', wimmin watching, man-baiting..........the list is endless

Hi FZfan, I just posted on the Medication Board. The CHs are doing better. From about 2/day to 2 everyother day. I have been on Topamax as a preventative for just over a week. It is working. Side-effects are very tolerable. Yeah, I have been really reading and I am just curious as to what kind of format of activities go on at these conventions. Must be real interesting. -Freddy

Jonny, It doesn't make me mad at all. I am not going to make anything here make me mad anymore. I have read a lot of posts. I see people have a lot of personalities. If I can learn some things that are helpful great! I realize you are very proactive in the CH movement. I didn't realize that before. So, still what goes on? -Fred

No Jonny. I never actually (knowingly) have met any clusterheads face-to-face. I guess that is your message. I used to attend conferences for chemists. Not that they were my type of people but I guess I know what you mean. -Freddy

| LOL - SOME of us have more than others!!! Welcome back!! Glad you're feeling better!!! I've never been to a convention - but I was at DavCon04 - (about 30 people met in Iowa in January) What happened there was a lot of talking, crying, drinking, smoking, laughing, hugging, talking, drinkin, and picture taking. I'm pretty sure if you just add in a couple of speakers about CH... that's what a convention is. I hope I can go. You SHOULD go if you're able. Meeting another clusterhead ... and another supporter is the best. tina

Just to add, again, to the same that others have said. There is like meeting other Clusterheads! It is something that any Clusterhead or supporter MUST do! Once you have done it, you won't be able to wait till the next get together or convention! To Your Royal Highness, Jonny: Is it time to make a royal decree that ALL clusterheads and supporters MUST attend? Chuck, that is adicted to meeting Clusterheads

I know from experience, it is the ONLY place you can get hit, and everyone will understand, and no one will freek out. If you want company while getting hit, you will have it. If you want to be left alone (that is what I prefer) then you will be left alone. If you run short on O2, it will be taken care of. The love and the vibes that are around when a group of ch'ers get to gether is AWESOME. There is no other word for it. And they must work, as when I was at the two get togethers that I went to, my ch hits were much fewer than normal. It must have been the love and vibes that did it. Chuck

| SP, seeing someone else go through the the same pain you're so used to is a life altering experience! It will make you completely understand what your family/supporters feel like. When I saw Elaine go through an attack for the first time, I was overwhelmed. I even called my ex-wife on the phone and apologized to her because I never knew what it was like for her to see me go through that for so many years. Words cannot explain it....... DJ

Freddy, Glad you are back and that you are reading. If you have been to chemist conventions you have no idea what you are in for. There is absolutely nothing like walking into a room with a bunch of other people who are there only because of a crazy medical condition that no one else understands. When you meet another clusterhead you don't shake hands, you hug. Davcon 04 was like nothing I have ever been to and I was only able to be there for three hours. My wife can tell you that I almost cried all the way home. and for about a week afterward. To meet someone else who understands what it is you go through and CARES will blow you away. To sit talking with a couple of others and get hit with a mild one and be able to try to maintain a conversation without having to excuse yourself and go hide is priceless. I have been hit at church and I get looks of pity and feel like someone in a freak show (my selfconsciousness not their rudeness. they just don;t know how to deal with me) With other clusterheads they just take it in stride and wait for you to get over it. Right now I'm homesick for that bunch and would not trade that experience for any meds the Dr might prescribe. Plan to make the trip. If you don;t like it you don't have to go back next year. Sorry for being so verbose, but I can't help it. Jerry

I didn't mean anything maliscious by that remark... I truly think it would be an interesting, insightful perspective which I have never had. I've just seen me get hit, and it's fuckin ugly! I'd have to leave, you guys would all make fun of me. I really puss out. All the groaning and screaming and such... But yeah, I bet it'd be easy to get an abortive pretty quick! Wish I could go... Maybe next year. I vote for a winter conference in Scottsdale!
