Clusters and Personality

I've noticed this for quite awhile but never said anything. People with cluster headaches have quite the sense of humor. Is that trait a result of cluster headaches or a cause?

Have you also noticed that Clusterheads have addictive personalities as well.....but then again who doesn't. so my point is moot. I'll shuddup now. Shit I make one attempt at playing armchair pshyciatrist and I argue with myself.....there's something very wrong with me.

well, humor is (either enjoying it, creating it, or both) a demonstration of creativity. Isn't there some mention of clusterheads having higher than average creativity as compared to the general population? Or maybe I just dreamed reading that somewhere. As far as addictive personalities, I suppose one could argue that that in itself is also tied to "being creative" in a different way. I don't participate in a lot off discussion groups, but of the ones i have been in, I do see far more creativity here than anywhere else. So many of the threads here just crack me up! And a good majority of the serious threads are very well and thoughtfully written. Besides, after recovering from a nice high-kip dance, how can you not laugh when you think about all the weird things you just did? Yes, there is even laughter in pain - hence the popularity of clips with guys getting thier balls hit. Yes, it's painful, but like a fart, it is always funny.

Why do they call that shooting pain that burns down your arm "hitting your funny bone"? Kevin M Yeah, and if one more person makes me laugh on this board, I'm gonna flame'um.

| Dude, After nearly 30 years of this shit I dont come here to whine, I make it a point to try to make these people laugh and have a few myself. Noone knows what we deal with so we must deal on our own for now, we must laugh at each other and even pick on each other just like any family does. For a dude that was deadly afraid of flying I logged 26,000 miles meeting clusterheads after I landed here. .................................jonny

You gotta wonder. That we aren't sociopaths or all in prison for mowing down a Burger King, can be thought of as amusing. We must be a pretty stable bunch. I get all my material here. Don't know what I'd do without the board and its brain-damaged populace. You people kill me most of the time. Charlie

I have been reliably informed that my having a personality is in question by responsible people who know me. My mom allways liked my brother best. So I'm looking for a second opinion.

There are thousands of members here and tens of posters. Be careful drawing any conclusions from the sample size of those who post. Could skew the results a lot.

Most eople who have to deal with one extreme will also show signs of going to extremes in all parallel situations. This, because we deal with so much pain, we also express excess of happiness - that is a big part of why we are so very expressive in our laughter. -Tia

A very unscientific observation on my part.... Clusterheads tend to share the following traits... - Pain
- Humor
- Depression
- High IQ
- Stomach Problems
- Divorce
- Poor
- Faithful
- Drinkers
- Smokers
- Horny
- Long-Haired
- Damn fine folk
- Did I mention pain?
