Does this work for anyone else?

Hi, back again after a long time with a bad episode. I have by accident stumbled on a non-drug method which seems to work for me 50 - 60% of the time. Its 4:30 am here in UK and I've just beaten the beast with O2 at 12 litres/min for 10 mins (this doesn't work for me alone, but it takes the sting out of the CH for a while), followed by a shower, where I vary the temp for really hot to really cold, aiming at the affected corner of my head. The faster the flow of water the better. After about 15 mins, no trace of CH! I love it when I don't have to take the imigran/imitrex, its like winning a Grand Prix on a bike!

Yes it has worked for me, but not all the time. Usually only when I ramp to a KIP7 or lower. Mostly the O2 is what does the trick, the shower thing helps ramp down the after-effect of the CH.

Just out of curiousity, isn't Imitrex filthy cheap over there? Nothing to support that statement... just an 'I thought it was.' Here my insurance company pays about $750 for 15 .5ml vials. Regards, Rock Lobster... watching it fucking snow outside... one or two days before springtime... aaaaaaaaahhhhhhh

I believe that imitrex injections (imigran over here) cost about £25 each ($50?), but with national health, it costs £6.35 ($11?) per script, and the Doc usually gives me 6 of those and 12 nasal imigran per script. I guess we're lucky... I also have a doc who pretty much gives me anything I ask for. He says "You know more about CH than me, what should we try now?" Which is good, I think. Scary, but good.
