Verapamil and Lithium Cocktail

I took the advice of Jonny and other members of this board and started takeing lithium with my verapamil on Friday.WOW I Mean FUCKING WOW 
It is still takeing time but I was able to get 4 Hours of uninterrupted SLEEP!!!!!!!!!!!!.
I have not had more than 1 hour of continuos slepp in over 5 weeks when the cycle started.This means so much to me and im no longer the major bascket case to my wife and children.
Thank you all very much and to all at this board for you kind words.

I tried the Lithium and it made my skin on my skull twitch and it made me nasty.................no luck here guys.

I say it worked fairly well for me, but I still had the occasional breakthrough headache. Since the, er, alternative treatment, I've not had a single HA. The best part (besides the obvious) is that I'm not putting poisen in to my body each day, or messing with my blood pressure. I was very willing to do so when it was the only answer, but being free from the shackles of daily meds... priceless.

I may be overly optimistic, but this cocktail is a God send for me....after 13 years of suffering and 6 years being chronic (the longest period being PF was 1 week) I have just completed a totally PF 48+ hours. Last Thurs. my "new" neuro. put me on the Verap/Lithium cocktail and told me that I could not have any more cafergot. I came home in mortal fear (having nothing for the pain), but determined to rely on my ice packs & pressure combo. In the past 10 years, I have been on virtually every medication for clusters on the market, including verapamil. Thanks to you guys on this site, when he prescribed the lithium, I convinced him to add the verap. After my first dose, NO monsters and only very light shadows when I first awake in the mornings. I am so thankful for these past 2 days and pray that my luck holds. Wishing that I could share my good fortune with you all. Thanks to all of you who recommended this combination...I would have never believed it if anyone but a fellow member had told me. Thanks again and PFD's to all....
